There are lots of information on changing your pets' species and colors, but not of changing a pet's gender. My pet is now a male and I want to change his gender to female without changing his color or species. Is this possible?

You can do it if you purchase a Gender Berry, but make sure to "use on" your pet, not just feed it to your pet.

I know you said you didn't want to change your pet's color or species, but it would honestly be cheaper to try your chances at zapping to change your pet's gender.

A Nostalgic Sheeta Toy costs 977k at the moment, and the Essence Of Melody costs 750k in user shops. Doing Wizard Quests daily will cover the costs of zapping. It won't amount to anywhere near the 10mill gender berry cost.

You could probably make your own Nostalgic Sheeta Toy for cheaper yet, depending on what items Vanya asks for. I know you'll need the and , however there's no telling what additional items Vanya will ask for to make your toy.

I'd agree with -- zapping is a lot cheaper than a Gender Berry, especially if you're just going to change the pet's color+species anyways! Gender changes aren't the most common result from the zapper, but they do happen: I had one of my pets change gender at least 3 times before she settled into the preferred Experiment species I wanted for her.

Since normal zaps (as opposed to guaranteed Experiment zaps) are fairly cheap, you can easily support them and farm the currency needed for them. Paying 10m on a guaranteed gender change is quicker, but much more pricey overall, so it's really up to how much patience you have.

You are right. Making another nostalgic Sheeta pet isn't a problem and definitely cheaper than the berry.

I ruled out zapping my pet because I've spent a lot of time training him. But I guess that is a small price to pay for a chance to change the gender. I think I'll try my hands there.

Thank you two for your tip! After two-ish days of zapping, I finally got a gender change. I ended up with a Darkmatter Irion and an achievement point, so that's a plus.

It's now time to change my pet back into Nostalgic. Thanks again!!
