Is there a way I can filter out events or silence them permanently. I don't care if I have sales in my shop I just collect the tills at the end of the day either way and I don't like the notification.

If you go to your shop and click the Edit Shop link, you'll be taken to a page where you can turn off events for that shop. "Receive Events" is the last option there... Select No in the drop-down menu and click the Edit Shop button to save the change.

in general it's really hard to silence or quench specific Events, Subeta's not set up for it. It just so happens you wanted something that folks complained a lot about when it was first implemented so there's a specific shut-off for it. You can use the slot shaped Toggle Sidebar button in the upper left of your screen, I use this when I'm in the middle of something like training all of my pets. Or if I am kissing, flowering or trickortreating and, and am not too interested in kissback messages, sometimes I set the sidebar preferences to always show Dashboard instead of choosing smart. Both of these features don't get rid of the Events, but they prevent them from bothering you until you have time/concentration to come back and delete those puppies.
