Hi, I have a question about holiday achievements that require doing things that you can do when the holiday isn't currently in session.

For example, the achievement to release 1000 fairies: it is a Luminaire achievement, but buying a fairy now and releasing it counted toward the total. But it isn't currently Luminaire. Is this how it's supposed to work?

Conversely, the achievement to carve a certain number of pumpkins is a Morostide achievement, but carving pumpkins during Morostide didn't count toward it for me, and neither does carving pumpkins now when it isn't Morostide. Is this a bug or is it supposed to work during Morostide and not work now?

Thanks for any information you can share! If you can point me to announcements or threads about this it would be extra helpful (I tried to search but found nothing).

Yes, you can release fairies all year. It's supposed to work that way.

Pumpkin carving should work whenever the Item Box says it as an option in my opinion, so this sounds broken to me. Have you checked Problems & Bugs?

I made a thread there during Morostide about it, and it's been locked, and the mod who locked it said "The achievement is in the morostide section so that means that it is only available during morostide. Sorry!!" But I think they are wrong, due to the fairy working differently, so I am asking here.

you would have to file a Ticket in Help to know for sure. There are Achievements that are in Holiday sections that are gettable outside of the season, so your UAs reasoning is suspect, IMO. I already have my Achievements, so I can't test it myself, and Morostide is months away.

I do know that because I'm cheap, I waited for snow fairies to drop in price and did my 1000 release in the middle of the Subetan summer, so that one was not at all holiday specific.

I made a ticket at the time also, and it was closed a couple months ago with a note that the problem was apparently programming and the programmers know about it. I will try a new one since it seems to be counting for other people and not me now.

I've been given a new ticket and fixed the problem for me :D I am really happy & the pumpkin carving is counting again!
