Hi! I just got back here from being out for years and I just saw the quest shop. I also have a bunch of points and a few items from the shop I want to buy. Just want to ask if you guys personally have some guide to gauge if an item is better bought from user shops or via quest points. For ex, "if an item is worth 10 quest points and it's worth less than 500k that's a great deal." or "if it's worth 5 quest points and is worth 1 mil, it's not worth it." Just wanted to ask for some opinions before I go impulsive on my spending again.
I just saw the Unicorn Pug Companion and I am so in love!! I know it's a CW but I can't quite find where I could buy it. Any leads please please please?
Would be thankful for any response. Have a great day! :)
Welcome back to Subeta! 😊
Hmm...well, I've been reading around the forums that Quest Points are generally valued at 20k per point. (But if you look at the costs of certain quest-shop items in user shops, you'll see that this value doesn't exactly apply; several items are priced at much more than what they'd be at 20k per point.) Other than that, I think it's just a matter of personal opinion--as well as how many points you have and what you want from the quest shops. If you have a lot of points and there are just a few things that you want from the quest shops, then it shouldn't matter much. But if you want a lot of things and don't have enough points, then you'll have to consider how you want to spend your points and how to get everything else you want.
You could make a thread in the r200 Advertising forum and say that you're looking to buy the Unicorn Pug Companion, and someone might respond if they have one they'd be willing to sell to you. Otherwise, if you can't find it in the shop search, then it's not being sold in any shops right now. 😞
thank you so much for responding! I got all the info I need from you :) I've been waiting around all day for any reply hehe.
Consider this solved! You may lock this now :)
I know you said you're content with the info from - which is great info, because I would not have been able to tell you what quest points go for. But I can offer a bit of insight as to why some items might be more expensive than others, and why that might make the 20k per point a good deal. And that reason is books. I know there are a lot of books in the quest shop, and those are always in demand,
For example, Out of Thyme, the cheapest book in Pete's shop is only 3 points, but sells for 200k in shops. Would you rather pay 60k or 200k? Now take a look at the Berry Long Dress, also in Pete's shop. 5 points, or 100k but selling in user shops for 60k.
Clothes can be bought and worn and then when people don't wear them any more, they sell them, try to get whatever they can for it. Books get consumed, so they're almost always a bit more expensive.
Also! There is a Custom Wearable Identity Thread[! So you can go and post in there, and someone will at least be able to tell you who released it, and if it was public or private.
