I know there is a rule against profanity in images because they can't be censored by the filter, but now the filter is gone, so I wonder if this rule is still in place? Thought I'd make a board before filling a ticket.

The rule exists because there was never a filter for images, so I can't see how word filter would affect that, also Subeta is a PG-13 site so the content shouldn't ever be inappropriate for this audience. But yeah, if you're in doubt you should file a ticket or wait for an official answer.

Yes thats my point, they are not allowed because there is no filter for it. But now there is no filter at all, so anyone can see any profanity, in words or images, at any time. Oh also i'm not talking about NSFW stuff, just the daily things like bitch or fuck.

Hm, then I don't know, if it's appropriate for 13-year-olds I don't see the problem but that's entirely my opinion and guess 😕

Another topic with a similar question is still in Help. I asked for clarification - no answer.

Profanity filter randomly being gone and apparently not being due for an update/re-implementation is a source of headaches and confusion. :'|

Your best bet here is filling a ticket, and then possibly posting the clarification from staff here.

Always best to file a ticket when you need an official staff response to a rule question, guys.

That said, the site rules reflect that we no longer have our own filter in place, but that members are expected to respect the use of filters on the site. We just don't have our own filter in place anymore, but encourage young or sensitive site members to use a filter on their end. So images still aren't allowed to use profanity, for the same reasons as before (e.g., for filtering purposes). I hope that clarifies.
