Hello everyone! A great witch once said, "A lot of the greatest wizards haven't got an ounce of logic," but that’s certainly not the case with you students. Week after week, you've really impressed me with your problem solving skills. Try this logic puzzle on for size.
The Rules: 1.) No cheating! 2.) All answers must be SMAILED TO POPPET. Any answers posted here will be deleted and will not be awarded points. Remember your houses too! 3.) You only get one chance to guess the answers, so choose wisely. 4.) Any questions or concerns should be sMailed as well.
Anyone who gets all the answers correct will receive 10 House Points! Please note that if you get any of the answers wrong, you will not receive any points.
Now, onto the puzzle!
The alumni of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry go on to lead full lives after graduation. Qualified wizards and witches succeed in many different fields, travel the world, find love, and/or raise families of their own. Harold, Robert, Joan, and Kaitlin are ready to embark on the adventures of adulthood. They all belong to a different house and excel in their own ways. One of them eventually publishes many important books on Transfiguration in his or her later years. Another climbs the tallest peaks and summits mountains while studying the night skies across the seven continents. One of the four has such a great romance that it inspires stories, media, and art, in both the magical and Muggle worlds. The last one builds his or her own home and finds incomparable happiness within it by sharing his or her life with others. Match the student to which Hogwarts house he or she belonged to, and his or her life outside of Hogwarts.
1.) The Gryffindor chose to live and die alone. 2.) Robert pursued something other than travelling. 3.) The Slytherin was not one for the outdoors or architecture. 4.) Kaitlin was a Ravenclaw and was wary of heights and the Muggle world. 5.) Either the Gryffindor or the Hufflepuff loved Transfiguration. 6.) Joan and Harold belonged to rival houses, with common rooms in a tower and a dungeon respectively.
This challenge will end on Monday, February 5th at 11:59PM.
