I'm planning on making a yaherra soon (have to buy a new pet slot or clear one first though), but I'm a bit confused about what will be the best way to do it.. are you supposed to make a random species new pet first and make that your active pet and zap it into a yaherra or can you just go to the zapper with a free pet slot and "adopt" one straight from there? from what I read in the FAQ section about special species if looks like both are possible, but there's only 1 "button" in the zapper to get one.. does it take you to another page where you can choose if you want to zap your active pet or if you want to adopt a new one after you click that, or....?

sorry if I'm asking redundant questions, but I'm kind of nervous about clicking buttons when I'm not 100% sure of what will happen when I do.. I don't want to accidentally end up zapping a pet I didn't mean to.

the "adopt" button gives you both options - create a new pet or change an existing :)

also, if you use the option to change an existing pet into a yaherra, it maintains the pet's color (as long as it is one the yaherra is available in). so in some cases, it's cheaper to use an elixir for the color you want, then change the pet into a yaherra.

for instance if you wanted a bloodred yaherra, you could create one and then use a bloodred potion on it, but the bloodred potion is 8.8 mil. in that case it'd be much cheaper to use a bloodred elixir (most are around 70k) and then change the pet into a yaherra.
