Hihi! Just started a couple of days ago (site says only 1 day though XD )and still trying to get my legs under me on this site. I go by kalika66 on pretty much every site but you can call me kalika or kali. I'm a stay at home wife with just chores to do so I spend the rest of my time either doing pet sites, gaming, drawing or writing. I do like talking with people but I admit that I do more lurking when it comes to forums than actually posting.

Found the site as an ad on another site and it looked cute so decided to check it out. Glad I did. I've found there to be a lot more to do on this site and a lot easier to get sP so I can start working on getting avatar clothes and more pets. Only thing I haven't found is how to tell if you have an article of clothing before you buy it since it doesn't ask me to verify that I want to buy it when clicking...it just automatically does it. I do love the beanbags, plushies and trading cards. So many things to collect has me hooked.

Anyway, I guess I can move on hobbies of mine...I love pet sites (hence why I'm here). I play around on KofK, Dragon Cave, and a few others. I also play around on Elvenar (not a pet game. More of a building game but I enjoy it). I'm definitely a gamer girl. Currently playing Ark: Survival Evolved on PC and Assassin's Creed Origins on Xbox One. I can spend all day playing on either. I do enjoy drawing but I don't do it as after as I used to. I write novels and hope to publish one day. Three months that I am not that active on any game is April, July, and November. I do National Novel Writing Month camp in April and July and do the actual National Novel Writing Month in November. So, if anyone else does NaNoWriMo and wants to look me up when that time comes around, I'm more than willing to cheer them on. :D I also enjoy watching anime and got my husband hooked on watching with me.

The best way to tell if own a wearable item already is to go to your wardrobe, switch on "Only show items you own" and search the item name. There's no confirmation in buying stuff! Can be a little dangerous! Let me know if you have any other questions or confusions!

I especially love the minions! A lot of them are just adorable! And others are cool and/or amusing. 😆

Another way that you can search for an item of clothing in your Wardrobe is by hovering over the "Personal" tab and clicking on "Account Search." On that page, you can search for any item on your account overall, and the results with tell you everything: if you don't have that item at all, if you have a specific item in your wardrobe, if you have a specific item in your shop or gallery, if you've read a specific book to your pet(s), if you have a certain beanbag or plushie in your collections, etc. It's super handy! I use it a lot for checking to see if I already have certain clothing items in my Wardrobe, too. 😁

- You have so many dragons! I started and then quit for a few years >< but a friend of mine got me to start playing again recently so I've been trying to play catch up and get as many as I can. lol What genre do you write and have you ever participated in NaNoWriMo?

- Thank you! My avatar is always the first thing I work on. XD I love collecting things on a site but one of my favorite things is dressing up the avatars lol! That does sound like a good idea since I've already put so many things in my vault, so now I feel like I have to check both inventory and vault before I buy an item. nods I think I'm going that route so thanks a lot for telling me about that one ^^ I've been trying to figure out the minions. I don't know if I should put them in the zoo or put them in my vault or a gallery or what until I get a second of it.

I took a hiatus at one point too. I think I took 2-3 hiatuses in total and always returned back to Dragon CavexD

I tend to write science fiction and fantasy mainly. I do both original works and fanfictions (currently in a Game of Thrones rutXD).

I've never done NaNoWriMo. I have a bunch of projects I'm always working on and don't want to take time off for it.

- I do fantasy and horror/mystery. I do original works. Some reason I can read fanfics and love them but as much as I've tried, I've never been able to get into writing them myself. ><

I understand not wanting to take time off for it. I have a few friends like that. I tend to do it because I don't feel like I would ever finish any of mine if I don't do it lol. I tend to write the majority of a story during NaNo, finish it for the first camp, and do edits and post them online to get feedback for the last camp. In between those three months, I'll work on other novels. I would be too scattered if I didn't do it like this x.x I admire those that can work several projects at once ^^

What problems have you encountered while trying to write fanfics?

I've finished some projects and others...yeah...one I'm really meaning to get back to. It's an Animorphs fanfic and I want to change it into multiple fics so it'll be easier for me to deal with. And then increasing the word count per chapter. Writing the Rin Duology really helped me increase my word count per chapterXD

I thought it would be much shorter and I wouldn't work on it so hard but my OC Rin demanded me to give her all the love and...yeah...500k words and a year later it was completeXD

- I just can't get into someone else's characters. I can come up with a story line but I just can't use other's characters especially if they are the main characters. Just doesn't feel right to me. I use a friend's characters in one of my series and have permission from her since I want to get it published. We've rped together with those characters so I know them well enough and they've always been part of the story line for the series but even them I have trouble with since they aren't mine.

I've managed to finish about 3-4 in one series before I figured out that there needed to be at least one or two in between the first novel and second novel. Finished the new number two novel in November last year and will write the third book in November this year.

Never wrote a story that has 500k words XD Maybe the whole series ends up being that buuuuutttttttt not sure lol!

Part 2 had 355,039

I have it on A03. If you have a series they combine the word counts of all the parts :)

And the Rin Duology is the longest thing I've written in a really long timeXD

I write First Person POV Exclusively.

For Animorphs I tend to do Tobias as it's really easy for me to get into his head.

For my latest fic (Game of Thrones) I'm going through three POVs. Every chapter containing all three POVs. Jon Snow was the most awkward for me. The first chapter or two was heck to me when writing from his POV XD

Luckily I sort of got the hang of him enough to feel comfortable writing from his POV.

When it's the first time I'm writing a character I really like it is awkward for me. I just don't want to mess it up.

But I just push through it and I guess I do things well enough that people read what I write O.o

So I understand the struggle there. It can be unnerving.
