I can't for the life of me find a guide about forum groups so I have many unanswered questions about them that I'll ask here x_x (I'm going to feel silly if there's a whole FAQ/guide on this somewhere, but since I can't find one... 😭)

1. Is the only major function/purpose of forum groups to be able to ping/be pinged by the group?

2. What's the group bank/vault for?

3. Can a forum group be made for anything within Subeta's rules? Like, even if it was something as random as a group dedicated to being pinged whenever someone posts a cat picture on the forums?

4. Can you search for a specific forum group based on their tag?/Can you find out whether a tag is taken?

5. How can you find out what the pinging permissions are of a group?

6. Is the group owner able to edit any of the group info after creating it? (i.e. Name/Description/Tag)

7. Is any other information about specific forum groups available such as the group's creation date, or is the group front page's information/buttons all there is?

Answering any number of the questions would be appreciated. 😔 Or letting me know that at least one of my questions were too unclear 😢

Ping control allows you to act like a guild or cult, only now stuff happens in Forums Bank/vault not too useful, depends on whether your group has a collective goal or has activities that require funding. Tell us all about your cat pictures. :) As far as I know you cannot search by tag, but try Google with site:subeta.net and some tags you know exist and see for yourself and tell us. Ask the group owner Editing is possible Most groups that need them have additional pages that you can get to from their actual forum. Wizarding's is especially elaborate.

You can edit just about everything (even passing ownership to another member), but not the tag itself. If you made but want to change it to , you'll have to make a new group.

I suspect this is what the majority of groups do, but no, there's way more that can be done with groups. Now that cults are dead, forum groups can replace them with chatting, contests, guides, etc. I've personally used them for training, daily activities, keeping in contact with specific people, as well as ping groups.

Yes. Doesn't even have to be Subeta related. There are Harry Potter groups, for example.

The front page info is pretty much all there is. If they created forums, then you can check the date of the first thread created. But yeah, the info is pretty sparse.
