For some reason, all of my drawers are there twice. I want to just delete them but I'm worried that deleting them may also delete the items in them. Will the items inside be deleted with my drawers, or will they automatically move back to my unsorted items?

no, the items in the drawer will just be unsorted once the drawer is deleted.
