Hello folks of Subeta.

I am new here, because I accidentally found this world on a research expedition. My original task was to find and map grass species of wet ecosystems. So one day I was sitting in the mud on a grey day (it was quite cold and windy) and was searching for ligulae when I heard a strange humming from behind me. I turned around and there was a black orb flying at chest height in front of me.

The orb was sucking in things nearby and that was where the humming noise came from. I stood up and wanted to approach the orb to get a better look of it. In this moment the pull got stronger. My hair was blown forwards and a plant stem was pulled out of my hand. The orb was flying in my direction. When it was touching me, the world around me was suddenly black and mute for quite some time. I can't remember how long this lasted. But after a while I woke up from a common noise. Somebody was sitting on my chest and was croaking. I looked at the creature (a sweet little Xotl lady as I learned later) and tried to grab her. Now there was sitting a quite big frog in my hand. The frog was very gentle and trusting, uncommon for most frogs, and it seemed that she was enjoying my company. She didn't look like any frog species I've ever heard of, but she reminded me of the Ranitomeya frogs, so I named her that way.

Than I was looking around to see what time of the day it was and where I was. I wasn't sitting in the muddy grassland, but in a completely other world and a girl with brown hair was standig besides me. She was looking very curious at me and had noticed how confused I am. She introduced herself as Sarah, told me that I must be a newby on the wonderfull world of Subeta and explained a few basic things to me.

And this is basically the story how I found Subeta, or better: how Subeta found me.

The world I come from is a very crowded, loud and dirty place. In comparison Subeta is looking like a little paradise with vivid ecosystems. I think I will stay a while untill I try to find a way back home. And I will use this time to learn more about this strange world full of exotic animals and codes and its inhabitants and their rites and cultures.

I used to do more writing in the past, but never in english, so this is a nice challenge to improve my language skills and to do more creative writing.

I love how your avatar matches too! :) Your written English is pretty superb, I was asking because should you be interested, Subeta has a pretty good creative market, and I feel like if you wanted to do writing commissions you'd do well :) (A lot of people commission help for stories for their pet etc.)

That is a nice tip with the commissions. I think when my Ranitomeya has told her story I will look in the creative market if I can help some people or pets with their writings.

Aww, I loved your introduction!! I agree with that you should offer writing commissions if you want to write more in English. :) What’s your native language?

My native language is german. But I hope that you don't read everything I wrote in ze german accent now ;-) .

Well Welcome to our little part of the world I hope you find us to your liking as you have been told take a look at the Creative forums for people who need/want help with their pet stories I had someone write for all my pets,I knew what I wanted but could not put it into words.

If you do this you can make extra sp look around and see what people usually charge it vairies depending on how big/small a story someone wants.

Aww, thats nice, thank you. I think my stories are that way because I have sometimes a weird way of looking into the world, and of course because my taste in literature is also a bit absurd and strange.

I love how you are telling Ranitomeya's story looking forward to it being totally fininshed if it is finished at the moment.

If I am ever looking to change any of my pets stories I will most definately come to you i like your style Again Welcome to Subeta.

Thank you =) But I don't think tht her story will be totally finished one day, because she will experience new stories for her whole life. I want her stories to be more like a diary and less than memoirs. That is why I thought that a short story collection would be appropriate, because you can always add new stories to it, without destroying the arc of suspense in the whole work.

And of course I want the events on subeta, holidays or random events, to be influencial in her stories.

That is a great way to go life is really one big story it continues does not finish.She will have so many Adventures on here. I wish her luck in all the adventures she may have for I feel there will be many of them.
