For the past three months, I was checking daily on an account that would have been cleared around 3:00 P.M. on January 20th. They have a pet name that I want so, horribly bad. Just checked about five minutes ago. They popped on 7 hours ago. Ugh!!! Might have to find and alternate route to name my pet the way I want without having the actual name.

Don't give up and keep watching the account. I have gotten names that I have waited for several years. Good luck!

I actually marked a clearing on my calendar (not something I usually participate in) and a day or so after NYs they logged in, only had a month until the clearing! So I know how you feel - but probably not as much since I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore pets user :P I hope you find something in the meantime and perhaps the name will be up for clearing again!

The feels 😭 I've lost multiple watched names to last-minute logins.. ._. one of the recent times was literally 2 days before the clearing date by an account that hasn't seen active use in at least 7 years. 😞 They're usually gone again that same day too..

I agree with though in continuing to watch the names anyway, at least if the account only sees sporadic usage. The longest I've waited for a name so far was about a year and a half. To make the waits on uncertain accounts easier for myself, I usually bookmark them to revisit about once a month for any changes, and then switching to frequent checking if the account is nearing a clear date. After that, it's racing to grab the name first that's the next killer 😓

Sounds almost like Subeta must send them a 'Hey, we haven't seen you in a while' email near the one year mark. :|

Hope you can find a good substitute for the name. Maybe you can add one additional letter to it?

There's a name I've been watching for a few years now. The user doesn't seem super active, but they log in every so often. They've never made it to even get the inactivity notice, much less staying away long enough for me to snag that name :L I don't have a ton of hope that I'll ever get it, but I keep an eye on it just in case.

I've waited over a year for a name too. There was a glitch and the account didn't clear like it was supposed to. I ended up actually picking a different name and saying screw that because the new clearing date was set for another like 8 months ahead or something like that. (But someone posted about it on the forums when it got closer to the date which reminded me, and I got my name :) )

I never got an email about losing pet names. I joined before they even had the pet name release thing and thought my babies were mine forever. Took a break and came back to some pretty depressing results :(
