As some of you know, I re opened my shop with some old cw's that were made for me. The majority of those artists cannot edit the item if in the case it needs to. So my questions are these:

With only the CI and the actual overlays images I have, can an artist work with those? How much would it cost generally to hire someone to edit? If in the case it needs to be scrapped and start over (if rejected, OR if I want it updated before submitting), would I have to pay the full amount again for redesign?

Unless you have the consent from the original artist, you absolutely can not have someone else edit or edit those images yourself.

If you do have the consent from the original artist to have someone else edit the work, then you'd need to head over to the commissions section of CWs and ask there. Depending on the denial or edits they might possibly be able to make edits on the images you have, but if the edits are pretty extensive there is a high chance they will need to redraw the items and most likely charge for a new commission.

It really depends on the artist and the edits, which is why I suggested making the board in the commissions section. You may find someone willing to take the task for free, but you should expect to pay honestly.
