So every year people make resolutions - and then most of the time they fail to follow through. So I have a list of things I want to do, but I'd love to hear yours as well to get some ideas.

1.) Stop drinking diet coke except 1 can at lunch time. 2.) No more sugar in my coffee. 3.) Going back to the gym, at least three times a week. Aiming for 5 though. 4.) Spend more time downstairs with my family rather than hidden away in my room. 5.) Stop eating junk food 6.) Only drinking if going out, no more wine Fridays. 7.) Quit smoking, good lord this is one every year. 8.) Lose at least 50 lbs. 9.) Start saving money

I try not to call them resolutions so they don't get broken, but rather some things I'd like to accomplish

  1. Learn calligraphy. I watch videos on it all the time and I'm sure I could learn it just as well
  2. Save more. I had a nice savings built up but a trip with my mom helped deplete it to nothing because the conversion on the dollar is BRUTAL.
  3. Lose some weight. Mostly eat better and weight will come off. I started this last year but due to some stressful times, fell off the wagon. I'm hoping I can get back on track with that
  4. Contemplating joining a gym. Maybe. Being a larger person, the gym can be intimidating.
  5. Cutting out pop again. This is one of my biggest vices. I need to get rid of it.
  6. Drink more water and tea again.

You can achieve your goals, esp the smoking one. I have faith in you!

  1. Exercise more, I have been slacking. I was doing a 20 minute a day routine. I need to keep at it, and increase to at least 30 minutes of workout each day.
  2. Finish renovations.
  3. Change my hair (haven't picked out what I want to do with it yet, other than "Something")
  4. Take more pictures.

I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.

  1. Explore my surroundings more. I travel a lot, but adventure need not be limited to places other than where I live.
  2. Practice self care. Bubble baths, candles, face masks. Indulge in the things that bring me quiet peace.

This is a good idea! I like the list format:

  1. Pass the JLPT
  2. Clean (thoroughly) once a week
  3. Read more, watch TV less
  4. Take pictures and actually put them on Instagram

Quit taking so many books out of the library so I will read the books I actually own

I got a 'learn calligraphy' set as a Christmas gift, so I guess I'll be doing that too.

You guys have some great ones. I've been on and off again with sugar in the mornings, and it DOES make a difference in the rest of the day.

I try to make every day resolution day, the key word is try to.

-Relax more and manage my time better. Less internet, more art. -Sleep earlier and enjoy mornings more. -Breathe when I need to, where I need to. -Read more and I'm there with you, I hog and renew the best books! -Drive safer forever

I want to 'safely' dab through 2k18.

  • Get good grades at the end of the semester
  • Continue yoga and experiment new poses
  • Draw more. Buy yourself a damn sketchbook!
  • Go gluten free and cut most sugar. Heal your guts once and for all.
  • Spend more time with your mom while trying not to fuck up too much OTL.

I can make it tbh. I'm already on my way on doing these.

My view on making New Year's resolutions is "keep doing what you're already doing, just do it better". XD

  • Read 25 books. (My goal for last year was 30 books, but then life happened and I only managed to read 17.)
  • Make more art.
  • Keep doing kettlebell exercises.
  • Keep eating lots of vegetables.
  • Join & win NaNoWriMo again.

  1. Get two more certifications (I'm addicted to school...) or one + start aiming toward a degree.
  2. Stop drinking soda.
  3. Save money.
  4. First get a job I actually like.
  5. Read more.

I'm hoping 2018 is good to me with school and work. I haven't had much luck with either.

I have a hard time coming up with resolutions. I usually have the lose weight one of course. But switching it up I'm adding in to start recycling more and drinking more plain unflavored water. (:

Mine are always the same every year:

  • Drink more water.
  • Wash face every night. (I'm seriously 1 for 3 for this already, I suck.)
  • Read more books.
