According to subetalodge, it is a prize for participating in the Infection 2011 event. Tier 4, scales with stats. Any advice on pricing is appreciated as there is none in shop/trades, old forum topics were not of any help either.

Been a long time since any have been sold. Those sales ranged from 100-250m. Not sure if any have sold for more since then but I'd probably put it at the high end of that range based on its rarity, stats aren't much.

I would have asked for 1-1.5bil.

a Pneumatic Prototype limb, similar rarity, similar chances (high end war prizes) of being rereleased sold for 1.3bil about a year ago.

well, it was not exactly rereleased, but I got it from Free Shop, meaning others have a chance at it as well. 1bil sounds like a lot for a chance Item, even if it is a very, very low chance.

If its being rereleased right now, Its going to tank. The only thing that thing had going for it was that it was a 25 of a kind item. It's going to tank if its being rereleased, especially the way some of these other items are getting rereleased. Buggy revenge sticker went from almost unobtainable to 30-40 on search.

So I'm the one that bought, and the way I looked at it, it'll either be mass released carelessly and I lose a ton of sP, there is a very limited release, which means I'm pretty happy with the price point, or this was a one-off release from the free shop this time, in which case it was an amazing buy. Either way, I haven't seen any on shops or trades besides this one. I'm going to be gone for the holidays so I will probably not be able to check the status of all this but it sounded like a fun gamble and I don't play nearly as much as I used to, and I know opportunities like this are pretty rare. Just my two cents on price justification.

If this was a limited or one off release, price will probably range from 500m-1.5b depending on amount released obviously. I'm clearly biased as I own one now but that would be my target for an interested buyer. If it starts getting mass dropped, itll probably be buyable before the 5th.

Why would anyone pay 1+bil for a junk weapon that has the potential be be released in the free shop. if there are more than 5 people on the site who would have considered paying 1bil+ for a Sotl on the site before I would be shocked.

The price take of 1-1.5billion was entirely held up by the fact that there was only 25 ever on the site, and other items that rare are going for that much.
