I am pleading plaintively. So a couple days ago I rebooted my phone and it couldn't connect to my home's wifi. I was like "ok fine my wifi's still working everywhere else, bah". My phone could still connect to restaurant wifi, so I figured it was a router problem.

This was fine up until 10 minutes ago when I had to restart my laptop, and voila now my laptop has no wifi either- once it disconnected from the router, it couldn't reconnect.

So, finally, I actually need to deal with the problem instead of procrastinating it away.

Does anyone know what the problem is, and how it can be fixed? I share a wifi with a couple other people who could have messed with it in the meantime :s.

I'm asking and hoping for an idea of what the issue is- I haven't restarted the router yet, and I'm hoping to wait until I do. I mean, this is the last device in the apartment with wifi. If I restart the router and it fixes nothing, then I won't have the ability to check these forums any more xD.

edit: wait or rather @ lit any random mod is this even in the right forum rip

My first suggestion would definitely be to restart the router, unfortunately. I hope it works!

Try unplugging your router, give it like 10-20 seconds, then plug it back in. Let it reboot and hopefully that fixes the issue. If you are still having trouble you may need to contact your phone and internet provider.

look up all your contact numbers with your service provider. and WRITE THEM DOWN

My provider sold me my modem and they "maintain" it. So any call going to them usually involves restarting my machine a gazillion times (each time taking ages to get through) and then restarting the modem/router all over again.
