Yeah I can't get motivated to do even the things I love right now, it really sucks. I don't celebrate Christmas so the next thing I have to look forward to is spring. It's so far away.

Maybe create your own personal winter celebration to be held in January, or early February. Celebrate among your friends, or if its not their thing, make a volunteer event of it and celebrate by helping others at a soup kitchen or something. Get creative and invent something you can really look forward to.

You could always get ready for spring by planting starters or force some blooms to brighten up your days. I hope the dreariness of life passes soon and you see the sunshine again.

Any chance you could get some light therapy, either in a solarium or with a lamp at home? Sometimes the lack of light causes winter depression which keeps us from doing anything.
If you DO want to celebrate something in the new year before spring, you could try old new year (January 14th) or do your own celebration of Valentine's Day (February 14th) - my personal favorite is Gal-Day instead of V-Day where I go to brunch and spa with friends, or (if noone has time) pamper myself XD
