I will eventually buy the vodka items/drinks and the Russian Textbook, but I'm pretty sure there are other related items I can't think of right now.

and this one might be iffy but i'll just throw it out there: red stars are a big symbol in russian history but it has lots of ties to communism too in that respect pfft

My pet Mendeleevo is a tribute to my time spent in Russia as an exchange student. No political overtones, just cultural/nature stuff I saw there.

Tovarisch, on the other hand, well, his name means "comrade" so yeah, he's a little politically-oriented and has kind of a thing for red stars and medals. lol
