...and it's all Comcast's fault. I was planning on getting another Nostalgic pet once I can afford another pet slot, or maybe when my totem comes, but now it's going to cost me a stupid amount of sP, basically all my bank, because my stupid internet was down all damn weekend. I won't get the achievements and I probably won't get the items from Melody and just...fml.

So, I went online Saturday night at around 8:00pm. It wouldn't load. Said I didn't have a signal. Did all the modem power-cycling, computer-restarting, blah blah blah, and nothing worked. Checked Mom's computer, no luck there. Dad's computer, nope. So I grabbed my phone, plopped on the couch, and called Comcast. A half hour after I finally got through, okay, maybe 10 minutes, but by this point I was pissed as hell and it was almost 9:00 by now, they tell me there's a outage in my area. I didn't even say goodbye or thanks or anything. I just hung up and immediately started calling friends, but no, everyone is out. WTF. And the library closed at 9:00. I didn't think about running to McDonald's or anything to use their WiFi, because I'm an idiot.

So now, thanks to [insert swear words here] Comcast, Luminaire is ruined and Comcast will henceforth be referred to as Grinchcast.

I agree with Karen. It will be better as the holiday progresses and prices drop. You can't get the achievements but the rest is doable. Sorry, your cable was out. I feel your pain! Mine goes out whenever it feels like it.

I had a situation similar to yours. AT&T decided to cut off the signal to the modem my family was using. My father thought it was the weather, but the modem was acting a whole LOT different than what it usually does when it goes on the fritz. By the time the issue was fixed I had missed a day of Melody. So upset that I won't be getting the 31-day achievement prize....

Comcast is horrible, hands down. The only thing Comcast has going for it in my area, it's down far fewer times than Frontier. lol Though I will say we haven't had major long term outages. touch wood Won't get into how many times we've had to return their equipment because it up and died.

The worse was Mediacom in Missouri. Every weekend like clockwork it went down. Didn't come back until Monday. The major outage that lasted four days really wasn't their fault. We had bad flooding that took out their lines under the bridge. Luckily for me that happened in the summer so I didn't miss any of Melody.

Get away from comcast,they eat their own young and to compare them to the pus dripping from an abscess on a maggots ass is an insult to pus.
