i've had this account for two years, but the past few months have been the first time i've played with any sort of regularity to delve into subeta in any significant depth. i've purchased some alchemy tokens and tinctures, but i'm unable to access the alchemist. he kicks me out because i'm not a zombie. is it possible to become a zombie outside of the survival holiday? is there a different alchemist humans can go to? if i do have to become a zombie, what's the best / cheapest way to do that?

You can become a zombie temporarily with one of these vials: and that should grant you access to the Alchove once the infection has developed. It takes a couple of days to mature, and lasts around a week or so, I believe. Can't remember for sure. The only way to permanently become a zombie is during Survival though.

There is no human alchemist equivalent, so you'll have to become a zombie.

if you were around during either Survival and signed up to get bitten, you may already have a zombie skin.

so do those potions only temporarily give you the skins, and not permanently unlock them? is it comparable to the human zapper?

are you only able to access the alchemist when you have a zombie skin worn on your avatar, or once you have a skin, do you always have the access?

The vials will give you a temporary skin. It takes a couple of days for the virus to mature to the point where you can access the alchemy place, and then you'll have access for a few days or so until the virus "heals" itself and your HA goes back to normal. You can unlock the skins from the vials permanently, but only if you drink them during the Survival holiday.

Also you have to be actually wearing a zombie skin to access the place, not just having one unlocked in your wardrobe.

No problem!

The vials are a good way to gain temporary access while waiting for February to come back around. But if you happen to be coming online still while Survival is going on, I'd recommend unlocking at least one zombie skin so you can get free access to the place whenever you want (as long as you're wearing your skin).

if you use the vials during Survival you get a permanent skin from them just like a bitten-skin This is new. Otherwise, it is as said, temporary.

NPC Zosi does not like humans and he's better at discrimination than NPC Skitters was before he got all smitten over NPC Fantine. You have to wear your skin at all times when you are in the Alchove.
