When you search for an item via shop search, and a ton of items that are the same price show up, how does it pick which show is shown first? is it random? it doesn't appear to be alphabetical. I would hope that it is fair to give everyone a chance to get their shops attended to.

Huh. I haven't thought about this for a while, but somehow I was under the impression that it was shop name. Doesn't look like it though.

Doing a quick run through of an item with ~10 priced the same, it doesn't seem to be alphabetically by shop name or username, or ordered by user ID or shop ID.

My guess would be something time-based like how long the item has been that price, or how long it's been in the shop. That's hard to prove though.

I believe it's random, as if you refresh the order can change drastically (just did that and there didn't seem to have any pattern in the change either).

In my experience it's entirely random. The majority purchases for cheap or common items are for quests and if other users are like me they snapbuy the very first one or two right off. I can't say that there's one or another shopname that sticks out.

Because of the way the economy here works, anything less than around five thousand is going to be HTS. Unless you're running out of shoproom, relax for awhile. If you are running out, open another shop or fragmentize the items that are selling the least.
