EDIT: I've pretty much decided on Nightmare. Thanks all!

I'm trying to decide on a color for my pet Ballooning. He's going to be based on my Drifblim OC "Bart the Black Blim" (named for the poetry-writing outlaw Black Bart) who's basically a black and grey hot air balloon - pic on his Charahub profile here. Bart is a shadow/dark Pokemon who's a loner, and there are lots of rumors about him being an outlaw, but he's actually kind even though he's tough.

Anyway! I'm pretty much stuck making him a Bumbus because it's the only vaguely balloon-like pet. I'm trying to decide among Dark Matter, Storm, and Nightmare:

hmmm,,,, I like the nightmare the best I think. Something about the color and pose seem more scoundrel-ish to me than the other two... Like if the nightmare just had that little white dollop of hair on it's head, that would be perfect.

I'd go for Nightmare. The pose seems to be the most like to imitate floating, and the face seems to fit the most to this kind of personality.

Personally I'd prefer Storm, to be honest, but that's way too much like an electric type Pokemon, hah.

I'm agree with . The nostalgic dillema fits very good, but if you really want the bumbus, I'm for the storm bumbus.

Yeah the nightmare one does look a bit tougher! I could do an overlay for his profile to add the white floofy :D

I already have a Nostalgic Dillema (Balloonatic) :D And he's so friendly looking, that I wanted something a little tougher for Bart. I do really like the storm Bumbus too... hmm so right now it's a tie between nightmare and storm!

Aaaa I love Drifblim, omg, so happy to see it get some love : D I'd go with the nightmare one myself. To me, storm really gives too much of an electric feel, which I find kinda off since Drifblim is obviously not an Electric-type (though maybe Bart knows an Electric-type attack or two?) The fact that Electric is one of Drifblim's most common weaknesses just makes the idea of storm really jarring for me unless there was some kind of backstory connection (like if he was caught in a storm at some point), haha. Um, but I think nightmare fits with both the shadow/dark Pokemon element as well as the Ghost typing! It definitely looks a lot tougher than storm, too.

I KNOW, Drifblim is actually my favorite Pokemon! I love Drifloon too, but Blim is my absolute fav, maybe because more people like Floon better, lol!

I had forgotten about him being vulnerable to Electric, so you're right, Storm would be an odd color :P I think Nightmare would be best, and since I have a potion in my vault, I'll probably go on and change him after Fireside :3

(Also, I LOVE your HA hahaha. Those vegetable lanterns were my favorite things about Morostide this year, and the potato just looks so happy in that sketchy bg lol.)
