I just found out about ancient middle eastern sheep whose tails are so long and fat that they were given carts specifically so that the tail wouldn't drag on the ground...

I thought that was absolutely hilarious when I first saw it. If I'm not mistaken it was done because the tail weighed quite a bit and it preserved the wool simultaneously. But I just imagined someone inventing a little cart contraption just for a sheep's tail... 😂
Feel free to share new things you learned as well.
LMAO OMG THOSE SHEEP ngl i just have this mental image rn of sheep wagging their tails like dogs and bc they're so heavy they just, wreck everything around |DD
today i found a new band i really like, stolas!! can't wait to buy their music once i get my next paycheck * v *
those are some seriously cute as heck sheep !! so ... majestic
i learnt that some cultures eat bats as meat !! (i have been reading dracula and so >>> found myself on the subject of bats) but yeah... gross ?? idk
today i learned that "refurbished" does not equal clean. we bought an xbox 360 a while back for cheap, but didn't play it much. last night it shut off with a 'omg it's too hot' type error. after opening it...we found that someone had coated the inside with chocolate somehow D: it's a wonder the thing ever worked! but we cleaned it out (with waaaaay too much effort) and now it seems to be doing fine?
but i mean, really? freakin chocolate? there was like a pound of the crap melted into it! how the hell does that happen and then you resell it, saying that it's refurbished? it's just...ugh. nasty
Aww those sheep are so cute!! Fluffy little things. ;w;
Lmfao, the sheep.
I learned that my town has a bubble tea cafe and it's really, really good. Except I'm not getting matcha again because it makes the tapioca balls bitter.

Today I learned the finer points of setting up and cleaning wood stoves. All firsthand, and for the first time alone.
My efforts have reaped the benefits. At least the kitchen is warm. And Lentil soup never tasted better.
Today I learned that sometimes things work out, even against all odds, even when you think they probably won't.
TIL that there are (were?) river dolphins in China called Baiji and they're real silly looking. Here
But now they're basically extinct, and that's pretty dang sad.
Oh weird! They look like fox tails.
Just gonna share this little gem:

It looks a little like the Amazon river dolphin, which is pink.
TIL u can get vitamin D from canned tuna
I learnt today not to worry about what others think. I have also decided to start using my wheelchair, which is a huge decision for me. I am too stubborn. I have fibromyalgia and spina bifida. My pain levels are to the point where I am struggling to get through the day. I can walk, but there is a limited number of steps that I can do before my body gives up on me. After that, well.... I just go to bed and call it a day. I would like to be able to do more things, go out more, and not have to rest every 5 minutes. Hence why I have decided to use my wheelchair when I need to (not full time, I will still be doing the things I enjoy, like riding my beautiful gentle horse) and forget about what people think about me using one!
Omg those are so pretty. ;^; I had no idea those existed either, so I learned something else! lol
Today I learned they sell boiled peanuts in a can up in Northern USA now. -A-; They're a southern snack and super salty and slimy, I'm kinda grossed out.
I learned I cannot function on 4 hours of sleep.
Today I learned that you can iron over pen transfers on fabric.

Oh my god, the sheep were great.
Today I learned that porcupine quills contain penicillin-like chemicals, which function like antibiotics in inflicted wounds. The reason for this amazing adaptation? Porcupines like to climb, but they're not very good at it, and they tend to impale themselves on their own quills when they fall. snort
