is there a limit to how many pet treasure slots a pet can have?

No, I don't think so. My highest amount currently is 152 but I'm pretty sure I've seen pets with over 1000

Spotlight Champion

Jon's Treasure Chest 1927 out of 2008 Treasure Chest slots are filled.

I can confirm there is not a limit now. Of course no one knows if there may be in the future. Happy collecting!
