Hi everyone! Its been several years since I've been on the site and I noticed that my username had changed "by" itself..I do not EVER use _ and numberes in my usernames LOL so this obviously was assigned to me and that would make sense because 3 people stole my pet names while I was gone so now my pets have the same names but with a _randomnumberhere..... So that made me think someone was able to "claim" my username after a set amount of time...is that right?

If so how do you claim/ask for a username if that user hasn't been active? I'm just wanting to keep an eye on my old username for the future and if there is a way to claim that back later I'd really like to try.

Same question for "pets" as well....if someone is inactive how long till you might be able to claim a name? And do you need to do anything to claim (like mailing staff) or does it basically let you claim after "said" amount of time? :)

Sadly when you are inactive for more than a year your username and pet names become available to those who may want to change their username or pet names if they seek out those names. So sorry. :(

Virus, Thank you! So basically after one year if I haven't logged in anyone can grab my username/pet name BUT the same goes for them? so if someone got my old name but didn't log in after a year I could take it back? :o

And its okay! I haven't been on in forever..I did email like 2013 but I never heard back from them so I thought my account was gone...just tried the other day and all my items/points etc were here...my username was just different...I'm hoping to reclaim username and pets maybe in the future :) appreciate the answer after being gone so long I feel like a newbie all over again LOL

P.S. Do you happen to know where I can "check" for Pet names? I notice I can just change my username to a different one to see if its available...but what about pets? the sidebar on the left is all shop items LOL

Yes if you see them on an inactive account you can get them back.

Guess I'll write down some alternative ones as well just in case and keep my eyes peeled :) And weird...I know I used to be able to look up pet names, that's how I knew if my pet names were available to begin with LOL apparently I get a "free" name change for my pet names that got taken....but hard to do if the pets have ID #'s instead of names so I'm not sure how to check that...maybe someone else will comment who knows? :) And thank you so much for the welcome back! Yeah I was a bit sad about that =/ Hiatus was because my account at the time was gone, but I asked, they never replied but apparently just created a new name for me LOL! oh well...maybe I'll be able to reclaim some of them as time goes on... Well I appreciate any help I can get stumbling along my way again LOL :) And I'm so glad I got one of my names back too! :D now just to get the other 3 (2 pet and username) and I'll be happy as a clam LOL!
