Wanted to talk about it in a forum, because it's easier to respond to each other here. :P

My general thought is, individually, the artwork is better. The suspicious eyes are finally actually eyes. I like that there is some space between the eyebrow and the eyeball on the sharp. I do wish the koji eyes had retained their weariness, instead of removing the eyebags outright, since now it just looks like a woman's eyes with sharp winged eyeliner.

But I've also seen posts like , where the eyes have been moved up so much that, even though the artwork should make them more usable, the placement actually makes them less usable. Would love some :)

A lot of the eyes feel.. higher up than they should be.. but that may just be my take.

But I can't get used to the new Mimi eyes, I'd use the old ones all the time when not in some sort of costume. :( I liked that style of anime eye, it won't be easy to replace.. x_x

In general, I like the revamp, because so many of the default eyes were frankly unusable ermm strangely positioned and lopsided.... But two things: why were so many of the eye revamps changed so the eye is looking in a different direction? Eyes that faced forward on the av, in the 3/4s direction, now are looking to our right. Koji, Sul, Punky and Sharp all do this, and Mimi to an extent, it's hard to tell where exactly the original eyes were looking. And in my opinion, suspicious and narrowed look almost the same now. :(

This is very handy. I was struggling to work out which was which ^_^; (I mainly use cache). I agree about the Koji. They were good being so different and the new koji could have been added as a new eye.

The new suspicious are great and I like the mimi too.

[edit] - yes suspicious and narrowed do look practically the same now, how did I not notice that facepalm

Thanks for the post.... I know friends on here that where the same eyes for the most part, and I can easily recognize them by their eyes..

A few of the eyes seem like a good improvement however there are a couple I am not fond of (mimi, sul, longlash looks really weird, unsure about timid)

I have not looked closely at the placement, some were saying they are too high, etc.

Just my humble opinion :)

The longlash look a little too... high up for me. Is there a reason for that or is that just a goof?

A long overdue change! They all look so much better. If anything, it's just worth it to have default eyes that aren't wonky and dazed looking. I can appreciate that they've changed the direction some of them are looking; eyes looking straight forward have a tendency to look a bit bland and unfocused, like the HA is hypnotised.

These look great! Wonderful revamps and big improvements across the board. I do think a few of them, like Sul, could exist next to their original incarnations as the overall feel of them has been changed. I remember using Sul when I was fresh on the scene and I don't think I'd use the new ones, they stray from the blank stare that drew me to them originally.

It's definitely an improvement, tho I'm still more likely to use item eyes than those. The only one of the revamped ones I was sometimes using was Longlash but now it's too high and looks very off compared to placement of some base noses.

The khaki versions of Longlash and Koji don't work with darker skintones. The rest of the colors seem to be ok though, and I didn't notice any problems with the other new eyes (though I didn't go through all color combinations).

There's also a problem with the khaki version of the second pair of eyes (between koji and mimi) where they're farther apart than the other colors. I guess that's not new if they weren't updated, but it's interesting that it's another khaki issue. :P

(PS, maybe names should be added back to the wardrobe for eyes, mouths, skintones, etc.? I hadn't noticed this before, but it's really hard to talk about this stuff when you don't know what any of it's called.)

I need the Khaki Koji to work with darker tones - that's the eye color I usually go with and it looks great now.

I was just wishing that the punky eyes could have the star be moveable or the entire thing revamped. Works for me.

I can appreciate the work that went into them, but I really don't like the Sul ones at all, and now I'm stuck with no eyes for now for my HA. Wish there was a way to opt out and maybe have both new and old available.

The khaki versions have been reported and will be fixed! Rah has been stuck in jury service and will fix these ASAP!

Everyone I have also reported the longlash as being too high. Are there any others that are too high?

- those khaki eyes were my bad. We didn't seem to have them in our files so I made an edit, but I saved them wrong. I've just uploaded the fix there so they'll be sorted soon!

I do see what you mean about some of the eyes looking high. When I approve these things I only get a blank base to work with, and sometimes when we're testing we're using things where they look fine. I don't know, it could be that we messed up a file, it could just be that we didn't test enough - sometimes that happens on big scale revamp projects like this.

I'm absolutely happy to hear some feedback on which ones you'd like to see moved down a bit and go about sorting that out, shouldn't be too difficult to fix now that I'm more aware of what is desired!

I'm a little sad that the Sul is now looking into the camera instead of forward. I've always enjoyed that aspect of the eyes.

i love these, omg. i have literally never used any of the ones that got revamps before bc i'd try them on and be like 'ew' at all of them, they just looked tacky. now i can definitely use koji and sharp, and might even mess with sui (which was one of the worst offenders of just looking bad before imo). plus, punky looks like the eyeshadow and star might layer well, gonna have to play with that. i'm super happy about this ❤️

So I know people have issue with long lash and sul placement too but I'm not sure how to choose where the long lash should shift. As for the others, I've got a giffed demonstration of current placement versus shifted placement. I included one non-edited base eyes pose that has nice placement in there for comparison. I used non-CW blush/freckles on the avatar to show where the tops of the HA's cheeks are for ref.

Hopefully this doesn't stretch the post too badly.

These are just suggestions! It's up to you if you agree with the placements or not.

[edit] This is Long Lash shifted down by 2 pixels. Not sure if everyone else agrees with that shift or not.
