Scrolls are used in battling. Your pet has to have enough Alchemy Points (AP) to use them, and you get AP by increasing your pet's intelligence. 1 AP for every 16 intelligence.

The scrolls do different things like freeze your opponent, heal your pet, some attack or defense icons, things like that.
