So, I was going through achievements and was crying lol bummed that so many of these ones with like books were crazy expensive. Do achievements on here work if you borrow someone's pet who has the books? Or does it only count if you actually read that book to your pet? I imagine it only registers if you actually give the pet the book, but I was just wondering aka hoping. lol

I think it only counts if you buy the books and read them to your pet. I buy double copies of all books (yes, the book achievements are expensive), but at least they can get good jobs. I'm only reading to two right now.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. The only problem I see is the stat limit - if you transfer a pet with stats greater than 2K you lose stats. My pet I feed and read to is my battle pet who also gets all the training - so I would never lend it to someone to test it out because of the stat loss.

Actually I think they changed the stat thing due in part to the 30 day wait limit on battling with said pet.

That's possible, I remember some discussion on that, but I don't recall the final decision. Either option is enough to discourage me from sending anyone my main battle pet, the one who's read all the expensive books :)

I know the 'have a COLOR pet' Achievements are easily gotten by lurking at Adopt R Us and adopting a pet of that color. I have owned some pets for only two hours and my Achievement for those is still there.
