Hey! Not sure if this belongs in the Help or Pets section, but...

I'm working on a custom overlay for my pet Tokage (currently a Darkmatter Keeto) of a character design I made for her. Since it's not based on an existing Subeta pet, though, I'm not sure where to go with it! I'm returning from a several-year hiatus, and from my understanding, pet overlays need to resemble the species/colour they're based on... but I don't know what (if any) species/colour combo this matches best: (WIP, since I don't want to finish it if it doesn't match any existing pets, but you get the gist.)

Twilight, Darkmatter, or Nightmare Paralix or Mahar, maybe? Experiment ?? I'm not sure what works best for her, or if my overlay design would be acceptable anyway. ;u;

I think a nightmare or darkmatter paralix would fit your overlay pretty well.

If it makes things easier, your overlay doesn't need to match the pet it's overlayed onto, as far as species and color goes. My pet Avian's overlay is on a fester because I just don't like the galactic irion. :'D When I get around to it, Puffin's overlay is going to be another griffin, but I'm keeping her species wise as a keeto.

Definitely going to second the Paralix or Experiment ideas! Given, overlays don't need to match species 100%: I've got a squid overlay for an Aeanoid, even, because I didn't want more of the experiment squid. :')

That design's really lovely, though, I'm curious as to what you'll do with it and the pet!

- Oh, good to know! I wasn't sure if the overlay had to match or not, so I wasn't sure if I was going to have to make some edits to fit her in with site pets. Thanks! I turned her into a Paralix yesterday, so I'll probably go for Darkmatter (since Nightmare potions are super pricey right now, haha).

- Seems like Paralix takes the vote! And thank you! She's a fan-pet for Akemi Homura from the Madoka Magica series, who's got both devil and lizard motifs going, so I tried to combine them. :'^) (I love your Touhou and Splatoon pets, by the way!)
