So getting the thing in was.... an experience. Once I got to where it needed to go it was nice to ‘cut the cord’, but dammit if I didn’t feel like a gymnast in the process. However, removal was... borderline traumatizing. I followed the packet instructions as written, got comfy, relaxed and bore down like a baseball catcher, wiggle, pinch, yoink and OH MY GOD IT HURT SO MUCH, I screamed. Clearly I did something wrong but I honestly don’t know what. Any tips for this thing? I spent 40$ on it and want to get my moneys worth, but at least if it’s a fail for me, hubby isn’t gonna know, he doesn’t keep track of ze monthly maintenance. Haha

I've been using the cup for about 3 years and never had any issues getting it in or out. Only issues I've ever had were overflow (my own fault).

I've been using the cup for a year, and haven't had any issues getting it in or out either. It sounds like when you took it out, you might not have broken the seal enough. When you pinch the cup, it should be in the shape of a "C" so the seal's broken before you try to remove it.

I’ve been using the cup for 2 years and I still occasionally have drama with it LOL. I can promise you though that it does get MUCH easier, you just gotta stick with it. Echoing what said, it may have hurt when you removed it because you didn’t break the seal and the suction caused the pain.
