We're one in ten at most, I would like to test the idea. I would prefer just left-dominant, but ambidexters count if you favor your port hand. In my siblings three of us are, considering we have right dominant parents.

I'm a person of few words...bear with me.

Hello, fellow lefty~ I use my right hand for a few things (like scissors and computer mouse), but am left-dominant. My mom is also left-handed, while my dad and sister are right-handed.

The only things I do with my starboard hand are shift, fret, and any else requiring both hands. As for writing I've elected to try mirrored again.

I do prefer the term Southpaw, one of my keytags shows such.

Sometimes you just have to use it. My mom doesn't understand how I can use scissors right-handed. It just feels weird to use them in the left, even with scissors made for that purpose. Pretty sure it has to do with learning that way in school (same with a mouse).

You know, I don't hear the term Southpaw often. I usually only see it for video game controls. It does sounds better than lefty, though.

Some people are surprised to see me use a sickle backwards. But when I tried to use it correctly, I cut myself.

Dremels however seem tailored for southpaws, the bit turn so you'd have to handle it with your port side.

I can definitely see that happening. Have to use things in a way that is comfortable and safe for you.

Which is good! I can't imagine trying to learn to use my dremel right-handed. That would be a disaster.

It's a trait rarely seen in fictional characters. I can only recall two from video games, Link and Sephiroth. In retaliation, my characters are universally left dominant, with only a few exceptions.

I know real life has its left dominant examples, polar bears and honeysuckle are two.

I never realized that Sephiroth was left-handed... (never played any Zelda, sadly). I believe Arya Stark from Game of Thrones is, as well. Haha, I tend to make my characters left dominant, too, though I do try to have a good mix.

Oh, that's interesting! Never knew that. And I do like polar bears and honeysuckle.

I also use a James Garfield coin to make decisions, only the small stuff...

The character behind my username is an oddball southpaw, he lost the use of his left arm. And spent years relearning with a prosthetic.

That's pretty neat! I vaguely remember doing a school project on Garfield (I think I was the only one who picked him lol).

Oh, I like that. Usually, when a character loses the use of their dominant hand, they end up just learning to use the other one even with a prosthetic. He sounds like a nice change of pace. c:

No, I got mauled by a dog. Only the deepest are still visible, the most obvious is my nose. The biggest is on the cheekbone, about the length of an index finger.

I'm not as afraid anymore, though for the time I took to recover I actually liked my reflection.

I'm glad your fear has somewhat subsided. I can't imagine it has been an easy process, and I hope you never have to go through something like that again.

The only hard parts were the ribbing from my brothers, calling me "Scarface". And the night at the hospital, by far the longest yet.

My only lament was that I had witnessed the dog get run over sometime later. I never wished him any wrong.

Siblings can be such jerks. Ugh, I can't even imagine that. I don't even like stepping foot in hospitals. Staying for a night (or more) would be beyond stressful...

Ah, no, that's awful. For you and that dog. Though it's nice that you never wished ill of him, even after what happened. I imagine many wouldn't feel the same.

So many Bloodred Escalades in the AC, I'd adopt the female, but I'm not yet able to accommodate another pet. And I won't abandon my current set.

I find it strange that Moon phases right to left, yet no one says a thing. So many things out there are left oriented.

I had seen an account of a man who lost his left arm, and right hand. So the left hand was grafted to his right arm.

There are! Someone was on a Bloodred spree... Have you gotten any of the Millionaire Center slots?

It is strange. Though, I imagine most people don't realize how many things out there are left oriented. (probably because no one who does notice talks about it :| )

Oh wow, that's actually rather amazing. I wonder how the mobility of the hand was after recovery...
