Why is Subeta Ink closed? Is it because of the new wardrobe? Will it ever come back? ;-;

I think it's been closed for a long time, even before the new wardrobe. I don't remember exactly when it shut down though.

As far as I know, I don't think there are any plans to bring it back, I'm not sure how difficult that would be with the current wardrobe and all. It may be worth bringing up in a suggestion thread or something, just to see what staff has to say. But I woudln't be surprised if it's just gone for good.

yeah i don't think there are any plans to bring back subeta ink. it's been suggested before but has been shot down. apparently the tattoo system was incompatible with the separated base and base features, and idk if anyone ever figured out a way around that. even if they did, CW tattoos contribute more to site revenue than an sP tattoo parlor would so... shrug emoji

Not everyone can afford commissioning a CI or submitting a CW, I have a ton of tattoos done that will never be used :/ But I can imagine how much trouble a tattoo would cause for the current wardrobe

i mean, i would also prefer something more accessible to the general userbase, and i personally think even if i had the cash to spare it's not worth spending real money on something that small; but at this point i can't help thinking that even if it were technically possible to do some sort of tattoo parlor feature, tattoos are now a part of the site's CW revenue (a small part maybe, but still a part), and who knows if they'd want to give that up.
