I'm trying to get all the Alegarten achievements done before the event wraps up on 6 Oct, however a lot of the achievements are food related.
I'm currently using Miasme as my Gourmand pet, so I just want to feed everything to her. However, I noticed that her hunger decrease really slowly, it's taken about 16 hours(?) for her hunger to drop from 10/10 to 1/10...
I have only managed to feed her some stuff before she hit 10/10 again, and now I'm just buying up the food and waiting. Is there some way she can get hungry quicker (like if an item or some kind of event that triggers hunger?)
Thanks in advance for answering! :)

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is any way to increase a pet's hunger levels (and thus, feed more, faster.) I am also working on feeding Alegarten items, so I can understand your frustration with how slowly the hunger counter lowers. That being said, you don't have to complete the actual feeding by Oct 6th. My suggestion would be to purchase all the food and beer that you intend to feed and just store it somewhere (gourmand dedicated shop, trades, etc.) Then you can continue to feed after the event is over. Unless Amber plans to make some changes, the food related achievements should still be active and available for when you finish.
(For me personally, I used the list functionality on SubetaLodge to get a complete list of everything I hadn't fed to my pet yet, and then I threw them all into my trades. Eventually, my pet will be hungry enough to finish everything.)
I think there's a way by using some weapon in battle, but the weapon is kind of expensive and I'm not sure I remember what it's called.
You don't have to get the achievements before the event ends though, if you want to just buy the items you need and put them in your vault or something then you can get the achievements any time.
The item is and I believe it drops the hunger of any one of your pets randomly, but not the one using it in battle (so if your gourmand pet is also your battler, there's nothing you can really do anyway)
It's been Suggested that there be an item that will starve your pet or some Syrup of Ipecac that makes your pet vomit something they shouldn't have eaten (say, if they're vegan and you mis-click something with animal parts). Staff was favorable to both ideas.
It is supposed to be true that the more foods your pet has eaten, the faster they get hungry. I have not observed this.
Thank you guys so much for the advice, I really appreciate it! c: <3 Looks like there really is no easy (or inexpensive) way to make a pet go hungry quicker.
I've been buying up food that I need and store them in a gallery for the time being. But your idea about putting stuff in trades is pretty awesome and something I hadn't thought of before! :)
As you mentioned, , it seems like the Malerias Glove doesn't seem to be a reliable or consistent way of making a specific pet go hungry. It would be so good if it was able to make the pet using it go hungry tho!
that's actually pretty interesting! Do you remember which topic it was? I'm kind of curious about what people said. I do hope that item does eventually become a reality in some kind of shape or form, although I kind of feel uneasy about making my pet vomit up food if that's the lore associated with this item...
Makes sense for vegan pets if they accidentally consumed animal products, definitely! But I can't somehow fathom the thoughts of thinking of someone shoving a vomit inducing item to the pets and making them hungry so they can feed them more food. I know Subeta pets are pixels, but that seems a bit cruel! ;o; The thought of making pets throw up kind of reminds me of the issues associated with eating disorders which are pretty serious matters. I personally know people who have struggled with eating disorders so I don't know how I feel about such items if that's the lore.
Maybe there could be an item that makes a pet gain a faster metabolism so they consume energy quicker hence get hungry faster = that's a lore that I can better accept c:
I did a Google search and found this news announcement (LINK) from last year saying the following:

pet hunger has been... inconsistent. What&;s the deal with pet hunger? i haven't kept track of widowmaker's hunger in a while but if you track the counter from 10/10 back down to 0/10, in my experience it'll be like 60/40 for 12hrs+ (like, 18-24) or less than 12hrs to get back to zero x: unless something's changed recently and hunger's been fixed up a bit, i find it's easiest to just note when you last fed the pet and check back before bed or in 12 hours and hope for the best.
the suggestion for books read/food eaten removal was this one, i think Removing Foods Eaten and Books Read
