I haven't seen any other threads about this, so I just wanted to say thank you to the staff for putting Freyalise items in the Mystery Box today. They're fairly expensive (often between 15-20k a pop) but it's a much more reliable way of maybe snagging a WL item here or there. I love that staff acknowledged that they wouldn't be able to get any new major distribution ideas going this year (like the cub babysitting idea) and decided to make a compromise rather than saying "welp, we'll do something next year, too bad for now I guess". Not that I ever thought they would say that! But, they also didn't have to change it and yet they did because we asked. Unless this happens every year or just randomly... in which case thank you anyway, I still appreciate it :D

This thread is also partially to let people know if they weren't already aware that the Mystery Box is a good place to be today :p

Yes, this is fantastic! I don't care if items are a bit on the pricey side and it's just a chance of getting what's needed, it's WAY better chance than vending or restocking and WAY more fun. And whatever I won't get, it'll drop in price fast, as it's already happening. So yeah, people, go to MB now!

haha. i just spent 13m and counting to get something buyable for a lot less.

This was such a relief! I spent like 6m or something and got almost everything I need. I'm only missing a handful of items now :D

It may be more expensive but it was nice to actually have a real chance at getting stuff.

Is there supposed to be another wave of items in the Freyalise this year? Because today would be a great day for those to come out ;)

Ditto with the thanks for the Mystery Box. It's eating up my SP but I can actually get items!

I agree/disagree. I'm happy because I'm not trying to make a profit and just want to fill my collections, but now there will be an overabundance of some cheaper/shittier items haha. Like I got 3 of a book that was 2 million.

Happy everyone gets their wishlist items/wardrobes filled/books read/collections complete, but then why not just make the shop like one of the shops that always has stock? It would at least somewhat prevent deflation of every single item.

Either way I'm not bawling my eyes out over it haha. I just think it's a bit too much of a good thing? I DON'T KNOW, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME.

Nope, we always add all the Freyalise items at the start sicne it's only 10 days.

Gotcha, thanks! I'm never sure because I know some events used to get multiple waves and don't now (or don't always) and I have The Worst Memory so I can't keep them straight

I'm really quite happy that this shop is in the MB today. It's made if helpful to get some remaining items.

That being said... After a couple million sp dropped, the items I'm missing from the achievement lists are all ridiculously expensive. I don't know what's up with their rarities, but they don't seem to be dropping at all. :/ (At least from the perspective of someone who's done their Carl quests and vended OD like crazy.)

Just take a look: Maps for Scallywags (30m), Strange Watery Flute (20m), Lone Survivors Frenzied Scribblings (25m), Pirate Manchu Plushie (14m), Pirate Antlephore Plushie (40m), Cursed Yellow Jellyfish (25m), Tarpit Spiketail Beanbag (17m) ^ And many of these only have 1 or 2 in the shops total.

I'm super stoked about this. v I have a question about the box - can you pull super rare items from it? Or does it only go up to a certain rarity?

I think it can pull from any rarity, but the more rare items don't show up nearly as often as the lower rarity items.
