hello! it has been quite a while but i return in search of more roleplay partners...

important details

• i'm 22 years old. only interested in roleplaying with people around my age or older.

• i prefer to host over email, though i may also consider using discord, depending. i don't really use any other platforms suitable to hosting roleplay, but if you know something better, let me know.

• above everything else i am looking for something with substantial worldbuilding; i like characters who exist in a firmly established setting, and plots that matter to and affect that setting. hard and fast romance-only plots or slice of life stories don't really interest me. if you enable me to nerd out about fictional politics and culture and apply irl science to fantasy settings i will enable you 100000x over. emotionally complex characters are also a must.

humans and humanoid characters only please.

i'm down for both fandom and original roleplays. for fandom settings, we can play canon characters, fan characters, or a combination of the two. for original settings (and fandom settings where we're playing non-canon characters) i tend to create entirely new characters to fit the needs of the plot, but i have a small stock of standalone OCs i can use, too.

settings

original: cyberpunk, high fantasy, urban fantasy, contemporary... not really opposed to anything in this regard. you could just as easily sell me on a western or a plot set in roman gaul. (actually, please DO try to sell me on a plot set in roman gaul, i'd be really into that.)

fandom: metal gear (PLS!!! specifically something set around peace walker era), dragon age (pls), pokemon (also pls), shadowrun, tales of symphonia... this is a long shot but i also have a strange hankering to do a fantasy life roleplay. i know my match is out there somewhere

also open to fandom crossover roleplays, fandom AU roleplays, and so on.

genre

i'm into just about anything. action/adventure, romance, crime/mystery, horror... i'm game. darker plots and a healthy dose of psych horror are a bonus but not required.

on romance: i like romance, i enjoy romantic subplots, but i don't want to play a relationship which utterly dominates or derails the story, or which is forced. i'm cool with all manner of pairings but in order of interest i suppose i would rank them as follows: F/F, M/M, M/F.

limitations

i like horror but i don't like a lot of gore. some bloodletting is very appreciated but i'm not a guts-everywhere type of horror fan. we can discuss other limitations on an individual basis.

style & length

only interested in multi-para. i can be verbose. i also understand, however, that sometimes a few sentences are all that's really appropriate to move the action along.

pace

i have plenty of real-life obligations, so i'm not looking for something that will demand a ton of my time. even if i'm super invested in our roleplay (and hopefully i will be), i can't guarantee multiple replies a day, or sometimes even a single reply within a 24-hour period. if you're looking for something more fast-paced, we probably aren't a great match.
