Not once, not twice, but several times today during questing (which I've resorted to because I is broke), I've shop-searched an item and saw that I had one in my shop. Then I proceeded to buy the lowest-priced item from another user's shop because my brain goes heeeyyy look at that, a lower priiiice without thinking hey stupid, take it from your own shop because that's basically free! Ugh. Idiot. It's not like I lost much profit each time, usually only a few thousand, but still. Every little sP counts when you're saving up for your next pet slot which is 180m. Fml.

I've done the same. I've also done this:

item in NPC shop: 5265sp item in user shops (or in my shop): 500sp buys the item in NPC shop

I've also have been trying to get out of my aversion to buying items from the same shops that pop up during questing. It's bitten me a few times when I go and hit up the next shop and the items is priced way more.

Dude, I do that like all the time and I don't know why. I always have that little moment of "Archer you dummy" and then do it again like two minutes later.
