I am trying to turn my pet Hydrus - so how do I find her? Thanks for your help :)

merana is no longer bound to the omen islands. she appears randomly on the explore map for 12-hour periods at a time. there is a thread and forum group for people to notify each other when they spot her.

How do I know when I see her?

It's very obvious when she appears, an image of her in a whirlpool type thing will be sitting somewhere on top of the map. It's easy to spot, so just check the map a few times every day to see if she's around. Or join the ping group like mentioned. :)
