Renton, sent out yet on another shopping run for his mother, sighed in exasperation as he turned corners with his cart down the snack isle. Although grateful he can help out, he wished he wasn't the only one being asked to do these runs, he's sure some of his siblings could have helped. Thinking about how annoying he found them, he winced at the thought of them tagging along adding things they didn't need to the cart.

Sighing again he lazily dragged his feet gathering the last of the food he needed.

It was eerily quiet where he was. Usually Wal-Mart seemed to be packed but this time around he didn't really bump into anyone. Deciding it was just a silly thing that happens, he made for his last stop in the store. Walking with purpose, he beelined for the movies. It was getting closer to the movie marathon in his home, he was sick of all the old movies they've re-watched countless times. Time to switch it up he thought with a mischevious grin.

From there she would have 14 minutes to make it to the other side of town to pick up Kaiyden from gymnastics, leaving her a mere 6 minutes to retrieve Nevaeh from line dancing class.

He'd seen the photos online, but he'd never expected Walmart to actually be hell. He'd barely been in the store for a few minutes when a girl had walked in with a dog. A dog! In Australia dogs were expected to wait outside, tied to a pole, not enter the store. He'd avoided the pair quickly. He was terrified of dogs ever since he'd learned of a group of feral dogs had attacked a toddler in his neighborhood. It had happened three years before he moved to the state, but that didn't matter.

Now Gary wandered the aisles, looking for something cool he could take a photo of, to send to his friends back home. His parents had taken his younger siblings to an amusement park for the day. Violet threw the dish soap into the cart as her phone vibrated in her pocket. She patted her body to see where exactly the vibration was coming from and pulled out her smartphone. She rolled her eyes at the poorly written text message that lay waiting for her:

Without replying, she placed the phone in the pocket of the oversize hoodie she wore. Leaning up against the cart to push it, she seethed. Way to ask, or say please or anything. And if she was home, she was likely asleep or incoherent. She looked at the items in the cart-- peanut butter, dish soap, garbage bags, potatoes, milk-- did she have enough to get Lily's gift today?
