I don't get why people find the need to sell something for way less than others. Today alone I found people doing this 4 times! What's the point? What's it gonna do for you in the end?

All it does is ruin items and make people who autoprice help screw it up without even meaning to. Sure that could be said for the undercutters, but come on, why do people do it in the first place?

I guess because they like ruining things and trying to get people to autoprice to that and yoinking em up? That's my only explanation.

I make two and a half billion sP per year. How about you?

What it does is make profit which we can invest to make more profit, because the Subeta economy is not stagnanr, Not only are items price-supported so no undercutting will last, the economy is made deliberately inflationary by TPTB. If anyone like s"winning" this particular aspect of the game, then they must keep moving. The faster omething sells, the seller can choose to take a discount on that because having the money to reinvest now makes them more money later.

Undercutters like myself are not in any way responsible for how anyone else uses the Autoprice feature. I have used the feature, and I can spot prices that are at major variance right away, just scan down the list and correct those. Are lazy autopricers gonna pay us to be nice to them? How much will they pay us?

As for ruining things, hahahaha. sP is NOT RL money, it's a game scrip for a toy economy and it's meant to be played with. Subeta has existed for thirteen years with undercutters and its economy has not catastrophically collapsed due to undercutters, only through hostile inside job betrayals and concerted ddos attacks.

As for whether or not there's a "true value", bleargh to you again, because the real value for an item that isn't at all RL is "what people will pay for it". Users who just price things the same price, the price NOBODY WANTS TO PAY otherwise there wouldn't be a lot of items the same price for you to look at and criticize us undercutters for your lack of knowledge of capitalism, socialism, planned interference by TPTB and toy-economics. Undercutters are providing a much-needed market correction.

I enjoy undercutting overpriced items. If an item is available in a special currency shop for the price of 1 currency unit, and a currency unit costs 10,000 sp, and people are trying to sell the item for 2,000,000 - they are ripping people off by charging 200 times the value of the item. That's not nice.

I'm still pretty new to this site but... I have to hand-price stuff in my shop and I usually just round it down. Also, I got a 25mil item today and I know it won't sell for that... so I priced it pretty far down so it will sell.

Turns out stuff worth a lot of sP typically doesn't get undercut much because it's actually worth what people are asking.

If something sits in a shop long enough for the "undercut" item to be undercut by the undercutters then it still isn't worth what they're asking. And if it's not a cash shop/BHH/CW/achievement/book/collectible/higher rarity desirable shoe or wig then chances are it's probably only worth like 200k anyways.

  1. accidentally typing a wrong figure
  2. rebalancing over-inflated economy
  3. needing quick cash
  4. people trying not to be overcharging dicks
  5. this is just a game and the price which you sell a game item for game currency for will probably not cause a life-changing experience which you might regret for the rest of your life
