Honestly. They need to make it a thing, I should be able to see who is buying my CWs. If I can see it in my regular shop, I should be able to see who is buying from my CW shop. Even if it's just changing the 'someone has bought X from your CW shop' in to saying the username.
I want to know, subeta. I NEED TO KNOW
Moving this to the Cash Shop Subforum since it is about CW Shops which is located there.
Adding my full support to this suggestion!
- I know you posted on the thread I just made, so you might want to throw your support over here :)
- Thank you for pointing me to the right place. I was surprised that I couldn't find this suggestion somewhere already... Turns out I was looking in the wrong place! I would have never thought to look under "Cash Shop". Maybe that should be changed to say "Cash Shop/CWs"?
[edit]
Subeta agrees... You got a forum point while making a post!
I would like this, too. Because I'm curious!
[edit]
lmfao I just got a forum point too.
The following may be a little rambling and misinformed about CW's because I only occasionally interact with the CW system.
I got to be honest with you, I am a little uncomfortable with this proposal. Personally I feel that you automatically getting my username when I buy something from your is a minor breach of my (virtual) privacy and would rather not see it happen (and no it is not the same as the user shop log because with the CW shops the owner really feels connected to their CW's wheras most users will not care who their 'red ball' sold to).
As I do see the use of your proposal a little I propose the following solutions.
I do not mean to be insulting but if you want to know who is buying from you I would sell my CW's on the forums using the slots system
Edit: I have been informed that Passworded CW's are already connected to a username, accepting a invitation to buy feels like it is a between friends system and since these people have most likely already agreed to be in the CW creators network this seems fine. However I still stand by my original point. The only reason for this system I see beyond the 'fun' factor is adding more pople to your CW network and as far as I know there is enough opportunity for those willing to join trough their own vollition either by joining a ping group or by contacting the CW creator directly.
As a last thought, I really think Implimenting a toggle is truly the best middle road here. The CW creators get the info they want to know and the users who want to share it can. Those who do not want to share do not have to and no sales will be lost on the CW creators end (I cannot possibly predict how many because I dont know how many people on this site share my opinion on this).
I unfortunately don't control the forum section names. There are no official rulings on private CWs so solution one doesn't apply. As you said a CW releaser gives the password or does the batch fill and that's it.
Support! I don't even have a CW shop and this makes sense to me. It's no more invasive than it is for ordinary shops. Plus then I can ask people when I bought something from their shop and what it was priced at when I lose my info on that.
It's not something I'd use, but I don't really have a problem with it or anything since the majority of items I buy from CW shops are things I would've at least tried to claim slots on anyway and the releaser is already going to have seen my name
@ Anoniemmus We are already alerted when people use passwords to buy items because they are connected to a specific invite ("so and so claimed invite [password]" or something like that, I can't remember it exactly off the top of my head).
arts by the amazing
Not something I would use either
Looking for these : x100
I don’t support this. Some people specifically buy from shops because they can remain anonymous because they DON’T want to deal with the forums and drama CWs can create. While I see the appeal in knowing who buys your stuff, I don’t think it’s fair to those people who want to remain anonymous.
And it would depend how much the coding would have to change to implement things. Tbh this is just not a very important thing that needs updating. I’d rather see staff work on and finish the other big projects they have rather than worry about something minor like this
