Pet I am applying for: Xiu! Pet of mine I am most proud of: Ecaterina, Sayako, Wan Shi Tong, Religious What I plan on changing about the pet (ie. colour, name, etc.): I intend to change his gender and turn her into a Nostalgic Paralix! Or something. A Paralix or something Nostalgic. c: Why I would love to adopt (pet name): I would intensely love to make her a Chinese princess with a side of dystopia or the aftermath of a nuclear fallout. I'm also quite inspired as making her a myth among the people. I'm really angling to create a contrast in the story I have in mind of her cleanliness and elegance to the dirty and broken background.

Pet I am applying for: Avada

Pet of mine I am most proud of: I have a few but I think Cierce is, Here. She's a pet I've wanted for awhile, she won pet spotlight on my birthday, and she's turned out to be exactly what I wanted for her.

What I plan on changing about the pet (ie. colour, name, etc.): I plan to change the species and color, likely to an ontra of some sort, not exactly set on which yet.

Why I would love to adopt (pet name): Avada is part of the killing curse in Harry Potter, Avada Kedavra. I'm a huge fan but have yet to make a fan pet of any kind for it yet, so I'd like to make an OC for that world. I'm thinking about it being a girl from either during the first wizarding war or from Harry's year that'd have been killed and now this is her spirit. As patronuses are a reflection of the one that casts them, whoever this was would be an otter, or if I decide to change it then whatever species best reflects another animal.

...come anchor me down.

Pet I am applying for: Josefina

Pet of mine I am most proud of: This is a hard question for me to answer. I am proud of all my pets, and that's no lie; they please me all in different ways. So to be relevant, I am going to tell you about the pet set to which Josefina would belong: the desert dwellers.

Anozira is my first Subeta pet ever. Her name is "Arizona" spelled backwards, and she was originally a Common Legeica because they share the colors of my undergrad school: maroon and gold. She's never really had a character or backstory, and after seven years, I'd feel weird giving her one. It'd be like me giving a backstory to my RL cat. But she belongs to the desert dwellers because of her name and the history associated with it.

Southwest is a story I'm working on involving a brother and sister gecko pair, Arco and Iris. They team up to stop the sky from leaking after a hole gets ripped in it. It's a story in the style of myth or Tall Tale. (Arcoiris is the Spanish word for "rainbow".)

Xeri is a desert fairy. (Xeri is a Greek prefix meaning "dry" and is found in words like xeriscape, aka desert landscaping.) I am fairly pleased with how her TC turned out. Xeri features prominently in Suszie's story as a sort of randomly-appearing fairy godmother, though she also has a trickster streak about her. Her main job is to care for the desert flora and fauna.

Suszie is the personification of the Spirit of the Old West. She's also a little girl who lost her family, orphaned on the prairie when her parents and siblings died of some terrible disease. She wanders all over the untamed countryside, which is where she met Xeri, and despite her young age she gets on alright. Her favorite thing to do is collect dolls which she finds left along the trails by other pioneers.

And finally, Jemmy is the newest addition to my desert dwellers. She's fairly new so I haven't done much with her yet. On a particularly lonesome day, Suszie had told Xeri about how she used to own pet fish and how she missed them. Xeri determined to do something about this, but she was not very familiar with what a fish looked like. She felt like there were probably tentacles involved - she'd heard stuff about tentacles - so she took a little gopher, worked some magic, and voila, Jemmy. Edit: Since she didn't have much of a character other than to be Suszie's pet, I have downgraded Jemmy to minion status and no longer have her as a pet.

What I plan on changing about the pet (ie. colour, name, etc.): I would like to change Josefina into a devonti, most likely nostalgic with an overlay of some sort. Her minion will likely be a Kiddley Divey Doo. She'll also join my pets' reading (to 500) and training (to level 60/150 stats) regimens.

Why I would love to adopt (pet name): When I first saw Josefina's name, I immediately was reminded of an American Girl book series that I read ages ago about a girl by the same name. I don't remember much about the girl except that she had a little baby goat named Sombrita. So this inspired my character and story:

Josefina is a young woman (late teens, early twenties age range) who is striking out on her own, despite the fact that women simply don't do such things in her time. She is a goatherd with her own small flock. She likes the nomadic and lonesome elements of her job and she thrives on traveling all over the Southwest.

She will be a friend to Suszie, whom she worries about. She doesn't think the little girl should be out on her own, but she also admires Suszie's unchecked freedom. She doesn't believe in Xeri, at least not at first, and therefore she doesn't see her. At least not until she tries to tame some bighorn sheep into her flock. She and Xeri clash then, and the fairy finally reveals herself. They eventually come to an understanding, though, and then become friends.

Thank you for reading my application and considering me. You are welcome to look on my account. I am currently working on my user profile, though, so that might be a bit challenging for you. C: Good luck in choosing owners!
