I noticed a lack of groups, but not a lack of crafty people on subeta! :D

So I'm introducing The Mill! A place where crafty folk can discuss all things crochet or knit related, under one roof. It's a little bare bones at the moment as I'm starting out, but if you're interested in joining (and interested in being an admin in the group) please feel free.

What are the benefits of or what's the purpose of being in a group? I didn't even know this was a feature until now. I'm still very new, so excuse me if that's a silly question. I'm an avid crocheter, but I want to make sure a group would be something I would enjoy before joining. :)

Forum groups are a social feature. People mainly join them for access to private forums and to get group pings.

Examples of some I'm in are a group for a specific artist's CWs, a group for Subeta events and holidays, a group for Token Shop restocks, a group for personal chat among friends, etc.

In! :) I'm a crocheter & semi knitter. Meaning I know how but find crochet to be easier and quicker. Can't wait to see everyone's WIP's and share some of my favorite designers.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, been a very busy week or so! Basically what poppet said, but with The Mill I just wanted to gather some like-minded people around to discuss our shared interest and get more involved with the Subeta Community that way! I'm hoping in future maybe to really flesh out the Group, so if you'd love to join or just give any feedback in general feel free!

Welcome aboard! I agree, crocheting for me is definitely waay quicker, I usually finish projects in half the time!

A knitting group? Sweet! I love talking about yarncrafts~ (Especially since I have a blanket I need the motivation to work on... >3>)

Even though I’ve been a member of Subeta for about forever, this is my first forum group...so I don’t know what I’m doing or where to go, lol. I did join, though! I can knit, but I prefer crochet. :)

What about sewers? :3

I struggle with knitting/crocheting. Don't know what it is. I can only do straight lines of the same size when I knit (i.e., a scarf), and I can't figure out crocheting more than a single line, despite the fact that the concept seems easy enough. ;_; But I love to sew! Sewing machine, hand sewing, cross-stitch, etc.

Wow this group is amazing! I Have never posted on a forum before (besides the welcome one) and had no idea that you could find so many people with more than one common interest :P At the moment I have 3 knitting projects going! I have nearly finished a scarf, Three quarters of a sock and im just starting out on a second sleeve for a sweater im knitting :D What are other people knitting?
