While I get that "Sir Quest-a-lot" is quirky and all that, can't it be "Ye olde quest-a-lot" instead? Get rid of the gendering altogether. Just my nb two cents.

I mean, it's a reference to Sir Mix-a-Lot so... Isn't that the whole point?
Also, I don't really like suggesting removing things simply cause they reference a gender. If it's not for you, then don't use it. Not every title or item or what have you is gonna be for every user. Like, I'm not gonna use it, but I don't want to see it removed just cause I'm not a "sir"
TIL.
I really don't find "Ye Olde Quest-a-Lot" to be aesthetically pleasing, tbh. It's not even a question of gender, I just find it clunky and weirdly worded.
Sir Quest-a-Lot sounds way better than Ye olde-Quest-a-Lot. It's not like they're giving men and women different titles. Everyone gets the Sir Quest-a-Lot title. They're not gendering you or anyone with this silly title. No one is going to assume you're a man for having that title. They're going to assume you participated in the quest-a-thon.
Also, if we want to get medieval in here, Sir is a title for a person. Ye Olde really isn't. It's a stock prefix that wasn't ever used for a person.
Genuine question: why can't we have a silly knightly title?
You seem to be heavily suggesting that the staff rob all users of a knightly title because the title does not fit your own gender.
'Tis very un-knightly of you.
Why can't lady folk and NB folk be sirs?

blinks You are allowed to switch out your Forum Titles. :)
Start a Suggestion that allows you to hide your Forum Titles that you do not like? Or Suggest to make an Achievement for total number of Forum Titles so any particular Forum Title that a user doesn't want would still be worth something (even a little?).
Forum Titles are a silly thing that people here collect, even if they don't use them. Historically, the only Forum Titles that existed were the Silly Spamming Sausage ones that went with your HAs number of stars on forum posts, and there weren't any other. You didn't have any choice at all whether or not to use them they were just there. So new Forum Titles to replace them seemed pretty cool to us at the time.
are you actually being serious right now or
also I'm just gonna echo this

This! I am a lady balloon, but I won't complain about being Sir Balloon too ;) (like I ever use any forum title besides the Hot Air one anyway)
One of the silly clubs I registered for irl has my name officially listed as Sir Squid. I have an award plaque on the wall of a restaurant with the name Sir Squid.

That's what I came here for. I'm done.
Dang, now I wish we had a title that simply said "Sir" because it would be cool to be called Sir Nami
I honestly never look at anyone's forum title ever. It just never crosses my mind. I don't even remember what mine is (I think it's the pet one, simply because it fits me the best).
...

Yeah. Just echoing everyone else here. I mean, you can't argue with this guy.

I love this idea! It would be fun to have a bunch of similar titles. "Sir", "Ma'am", "Mr", "Ms", "Mrs", "Jr", "Sr", "the II", stuff like that. I think it would be nice to have some simpler ones.
