...I forgot about Quest-A-Thon.
I just started a 8:30-to-4:30 volunteer position this week so I've been coming come and just crashing on my bed, not doing anything but eating dinner and listening to podcasts. The QAT completely slipped my mind. So many prizes and suchlike missed out on, aaah... (Could've done some during my lunch break but I forgot then, too.) I have a brain you could sieve sample buckets with and not miss a single bit of flot...
On a brighter note, I've been doing archaeology (of a sort) and finally listening to WTNV - years late to the party with a Big Rico's pizza slice. I like Cecil, Kevin, and Tamika Flynn. Bet all those names are claimed, huh? >->'
[small]coughs you should check that last name if you have space coughs[/small]
you've got good timing, you made it back just in time for all weekend quests all the time! 8) and i'd recommend checking out the rest of the night vale presents podcasts; within the wires is short (but it starts off a little slow, at least for me) and i think the second season is coming up soon, and i really like alice isn't dead - it's got two seasons with a third out next year. they're all very different from each other but still a little on the spooky/surrealist side, it's neat o:
Unfortunately, I'm all full up until the prizes come out.
Thanks for the tip, both on podcasts and the quests! I'm looking for more good listens since my volunteer job is... Let's say that sieving sample buckets isn't exactly thrill-a-minute. But I find cool stuff like medieval or earlier pottery, animal bones like a sheep's tooth or today a pygmy shrew jaw, human bone, shells, etc so that's neat. I also drink too much coffee and eat lots of biscuits.
well, hopefully it stays open 'till monday ;w;
& that does sound like a good time for podcasts -- and a pretty good time all around, what with the nifty finds and the biscuits o: -- so have two more recommendations c: if you like nonfiction podcasts, criminal is really good. they do half-hour episodes about twice a month on... crimes p: it's a pretty wide range; they had an episode on people who (tried to) fake their deaths and what's involved in that, one about a tree that was poisoned in the 80s, and one this month on native american remains taken from effigy mounds national monument. i also like "no such thing as a fish" which is a comedy podcast where the hosts present "their four favorite facts of the week;" it's basically forty minutes of weird trivia and jokes, hah
