What is it for? For amulet?

you can give them to the mage for a chance of receiving a tome, which can be used to boost your pet's stats. however, the chance of receiving a tome is pretty low, so unless you really need tomes, it is more worth it to just sell the amulets in your shop.

The odds are between one in six and one in eight, in my experience.
