Just wanted to come over here to celebrate a bit. This isn't really something I can brag about on Facebook or at home ("What's Subeta?"), and I'm sure the one friend I blether to about Subetan things is a bit tired of it right now. <3
If you've visited the Adoption Center forum in the last couple of months, you might have noticed someone mentioning October birthdays. A lot. That was me. I had an idea mid-June that I would get one pet for every day in the month of October, since that's my birthday month.
I had a few to start out with, and here and there I found some in the pound. I adopted others directly from users, and some users helped me in my search (thanks especially ). There were weeks in there when I found nothing; and there was one crazy 48-hour period where I obtained five almost all at once. It was a heady rollercoaster ride that basically consumed my entire summer.
My last date was October 13th, and call it unlucky or whatever but I just could not find a pet with this birthday. I was beginning to think I would have to create one in a couple of months and had basically resigned myself to that fate.
But then! Today, I'm haunting the pound as usual, and I find not one, but two pets with an October 13th birthday! I had an intense moment of panic trying to decide which would fit in best with my little family, and then an even bigger moment of panic when I remembered I didn't have any free spots, and I had to wait for the CSC purchase to go through, and my computer was being dumb and had to be restarted, and what if they were both gone before all the stars aligned?!
Fortunately, it all worked out, and Poani has joined my crew, and I is happy. :)
Congrats. That's one...very large goal! I don't think I'd have been able to do it (not counting the fact I only have 18 slots XD) but huzzah for getting what you're after!
Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
Thank you! :) I think I ended up adding only about 10-15 spots for this (I already had quite a few!) and I have a few "wallet regrets" but hey, what can I say?
Also, don't you have 20? I thought that was the bare minimum (though I could be mistaken...)
You're welcome. I know all about regrets, I recently got into CWs, which became my poison as opposed to pet slots. =0P
Eh? 20? The least amount of days in a month is 28? I have 18 slots. And I don't think i could adopt out all the ones without whatever month's days I chose. XD Mine are all a hodge-podge of dates. I'd have had to add at a minimun 13 slots. ....Just thinking of how much that would cost makes me twitch.

Oh, no, I was saying I thought Subeta's default amount of pet slots per account was 20. But now I think it's only ten, 'cause I added up the extra slots I obtained on this page and subtracted.
When I started out, I had a hodgepodge of dates too. I had to decide what personalities I wanted to keep and do a whole lotta name swapping. I also lost out on the training and reading I had done previously. It was painful, but once I started I was determined to finish.
I try to avoid looking at CWs for that very reason! :) (If I see something I really like, I add it to my wishlist and then promptly forget about it.)
