Please let me know if this isn't allowed.

I went to Ross today because the pants I have now are ripped. I'm fat, and no this isn't a bad thing, it's just the truth. But today I feel really low because of it. I have depression and anxiety and a slew of other mental health issues so that doesn't help I guess. But the pants I have currently that are super comfy, are a size 24, I pull them up a lot because they're a bit loose on me. I thought maybe I could try the 22's on at the store. None fit me. Thought, okay, 24 is what I have now. Nope. They had one pair of jeans in size 26 and they fit pretty much the same as the 22's. We ended up getting them because, well because otherwise I don't have any. I just. Idk. They say "Well just keep doing what you're doing" I stopped drinking soda, gained weight, cut out eating out and fast food, gained weight, cut back heavily on sugar, stayed where I am. I walk everywhere, at least 20-30 minutes a day. I just feel. Idk. I just needed to get it out.

A nice reminder that jeans have different cut and different style. Therefore, some will fit just right while your other pair can be too wide on the calf, on the butt or too small on the waist. I tend to wear between 24 and 26 depending on the brand and/or style.

I absolutely HATE shopping because the only clothes I could ever find that fit looked OLD and made by a blind person or I just couldn't find anything that fit. It really does make you feel horrible. :(

If you can, check out Torrid. Their clothes are amazing and I feel so much more confidence wearing them than I did in other clothes. They aren't cheap but they really are worth it. If you happen to be near a store check them out, they are constantly running BOGO 50% and even BOGO free sales. Plus if you sign up to be a Torrid Insider you get points when you spend money. Every time I go in I end up with a $10 reward to use on my next purchase.

Do I have any stickers you need in your gallery? Check here, send me a message and I'll stick it to ya!

I like the curvy jeans from Old Navy, they don't make me feel huge.

I usually don't have this problem. I'm not sure what's causing the weight gain and it's really frustrating! I do try and remind myself of that though.

I LOVE Torrid but I can hardly afford Ross right now lol. I go there sometimes for jeans though. Just looking, never buying. Always wishing T.T

Old Navy as my GO TO but since I gained weight they don't have my size. They stop at 22, or my store does anyways.

You can purchase old navy plus size online (and they have good sales). Returning is also easy.

Is there a Cato near you? My favorite store by far. Their jeans are the only ones my fat ass wears anymore. They fit just right and they have them in trendy styles. Their other clothes are equally nice and their prices aren't too bad either. If only my wallet was as fat as my ass!

For Sale: Lots more FOR SALE HERE and HERE!

I second Catos! And yeah, I have to buy mine on their website. I couldn't find my size last time either in the store... I used to wear 18 but my lifestyle is pretty sedentary now so I am in the same boat as you.

I second Torrid, I almost always buy Torrid secondhand at decent prices since shipping to NZ is crazy expensive.

Have you talked to a health professional about it? I was in a similar situation and I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with PCOS and sleep apnea. Once I started treatment for the sleep apnea the changes have been incredible. My body was holding on to the fat because I was in a constant state of exhaustion.

Oh man, I understand you so well. No matter what I do, I seem to be stuck at my current weight. Like, it won't budge at all. Every morning is a crisis for me when I have to pick clothes that look somewhat ok. I hate shopping for clothes and I'm kinda running out of things that fit... xD;

That all said, while walking is good for keeping you from collapsing into a puddle of fat and bones, it's not that great for losing weight. And 20-30min is not a lot for low intensity workout.

Also, if you're on any medication, they could be screwing with your body. Actually, even if you're not, you might wanna have your blood tested for any imbalances that might cause this. Because you really shouldn't be GAINING weight with your life choices.

My patented solution to pants problems? Stretchy comfy mini skirt (black) with nice snug leggings! Combine with big t-shirt and hoodie for a more boyish look or something cute for a girly look!

Good luck out there!

I have Hypothyroidism. I'm on medications for it though.

Also skirts are super comfy but I'm a transguy so I tend not to wear them too much, to not cause confusion in others lol c:

, that would definitely be a big influence on not being able to shift weight :( And as Dybbuk said, the meds could be effecting it too.

The meds they have me on should be helping with that though. That's their whole job

, I would be asking for your meds to be checked depending on how long you've been on them. Sometimes it can take awhile to kick in and then after awhile it can lose it's effectiveness.
