I did the tutorial or whatever, but honestly I don't even know where to start. Is there something specific that would be beneficial as a new player that I should be looking into?

The fun of subeta is just looking around and exploring the different things you'd like to do. You can play games to have fun and earn sp, which you mainly use to buy clothes, complete collections, or buy cool stuff for your subeta pet. You can even buy battle materials which you can use to battle in the Battle Coliseum. I just started yesterday and I'm already having a blast. If you want some advice then here: try out the wizard's quests. His wizard tokens can be used all around the world and are great for getting random items to put up in your shop, which is completely optional btw. There are even secret subeta pets you can only get from doing stuff in the world. The whole point is just to explore and have fun doing whatever you'd like :) I hope this all helps :)

I can understand the confusion as there's a lot to do here. It all depends on what you want to do.

I like questing, stocking my shop, and dressing up my Human Avatar. So what I think is good to do on here is dependent on those factors :)

It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but just explore, and you'll find something you enjoy doing. The games and quests are quite fun, and collections can be interesting too.
