The Original Madi

So it looks like we should each dress our character, then if we can, also create a HA to represent Madi.
We have until Saturday, August 5th, at the end of the day. As per usual (or usual before my vacation), I would appreciate if you could have your entries prepared earlier than that, since 11:59 pm would be about 6 am Sunday, my time. :)

Okay, so I don't know how much you guys know about Coppelia, but it is a RW ballet, and a famous one at that. Basically, it is about a man who makes a dancing doll. He uses it to try to trick a young man into falling in love, so that the doctor can use his soul/energy to turn his doll into a real doll. The young man's fiancee tricks the doctor into believing it has worked, thus saving her young man. The doll is usually danced in two styles, then. One more mechanical (as the doll itself), and one that falls between the two a bit more, as the young woman playing the doll come to life.

So, we need our character's HA's to either represent the mechanical ballerina doll, or the crazy doctor who built her, then we need to create a junior version of the doll.

HA's of Coppelia should feature:

• heavy stage make-up and/or doll make-up
• pretty ballet costumes

HA's of the doctor Coppelius should feature:

• crazy hair?
• tools?

HA of Madi should feature:

• pink blush circles
• bright bow lips
• a young look

I might suggest a few items to help you out...

The Coppelias should probably (though feel free to be creative and do your own thing) be wearing ballet slippers/pointe shoes.

If you don't love any of those colors, or if they're not exactly what you want, it's also easy to layer another flat over the top of a ballet slipper, to keep the ribbons but exchange the shoe... [item=][item=][item=][item=][item=][item=]

My doll so far... Might add a background, and may do some editing, since I just switched from glasses to contacts mid-day, and I can't really see how she looks...

I'll make one of each for Max. Creator will be easy. A male Coppelia would be a challenge and entertaining x3

Sorry for my inactivity! I'm going to work on my HA tonight or tomorrow. If I have extra time I can attempt making one of Madi too. Looks like we're short a lot of members again this time so far. :( Should we try taking another roll call?

@ GuardianAngels I don't know that you'll be judged for two HAs so if you make two you'd want to pick which one to submit, I think?

Like Hannah said, I'm guessing we can only have one per person? Don't know for sure, but if the idea is that our character is wearing the costume, yeah. If we had a roleplay, we could totally have Max dress up two ways, but I don't think a roleplay's going to happen...

Bah, yeah, any image with an out-of-date security certificate will show up that way... But some of them are quite nice (just old info from perfectly respectable sites)... So I figured I'd leave them up, and if anyone really wants to look, you can right click, open them, and override the security block. It seems like every other image I pull from google images is like that. Grr... I don't know why you can look at the image THERE, but you can't look at it when it's posted in a forum!

I will get mine done this afternoon for y'all. I have errands to do this morning. My schedule was off this week and today is my off day so I'll work on it in a little bit. :)

I edited my HAs into my previous post. Do they match the style alright? ^^ I didn't realize I could still right click and open the other images... took me a minute to figure it out but good to know! In most cases I usually re-upload the image just to make sure it works for linking lol

How does this look? I may not be on later so I was hoping someone would be hiding to say yes or no or add suggestions for my HA. Sorry in advance for the ping.

It just sits on "Loading Items" No matter what I do. I've cleared cache, restarted Firefox, restarted Compy. It won't get past that. All other functions of the wardrobe seem to work....

Didn't get a chance to finish the doll one. The wardrobe is getting far to big now a days to find guys ballet stuff....

I didn't manage to make it up before the deadline, but I know loads of teams were having trouble, so I put both versions in our post, and hopefully GreenRowan lets us use your finished one. After all, YOU submitted it with plenty of time, I just didn't get it into the actual post on time...

Okay guys, because the wardrobe has been having issues for so many people, GreenRowan has given an extension of 24 to 48 hours, depending on when the wardrobe starts working better. So, if you want to make changes or edits, we certainly can do that.

that also means that if you make it online, we can still add your outfit to the mix.

Also, everyone, most of the teams have backgrounds on their HA's. Do we want to choose a background to add to all of our outfits, or leave them as is? We do have extra time, so if we wanted to do that, it would be possible...

Broken wardrobe? Then we shall use the magic of photoshop! I grabbed the images on subetalodge and just layered it the hard way. XD I didn't do any tweaking other than layering the images from subeta/subetalodge so I think it's allowed.

I liked that it didn't cover part of the HA but I also like the Toyshop background soo... whichever you wanna use. ^^ Or we could have the crazy doctor in the workshop area and the ballet dancers on the stage? hmm...

We're still missing two HAs... skydreamer has been fairly active in the past... I'm still concerned about Canidae because I've seen little of them the whole event and I don't think they're reluctant? Plus they're the co-captain. I hope everyone's okay...
