They look odd. These have a very graceful outline now, with the jewel tones they now look like a makeup case to me. Many RL tackle boxes are grey or black or some muddied color and are angular in shape 'cause they're mostly for guys. It does appear that there are some rounded boxes out there so your artist's interpretation isn't exactly wrong.

These actually look incredibly similar to the tackle box my grandfather used to have for all of the little odds and ends in the garage. Ahh they make me feel so nostalgic n_n We had a rusted up red one, and it was pretty rounded like this as well. I believe it was just taller / held more compartments from what I can remember!

Glad these finally got a revamp, they feel much more usable for TCs now n_n

If they make any new ones, some that are dirty, scratched, rusty or have stickers on 'em would be perfect. These look great! but tbh I'd like to see some that look more used as well, for the avid, (maybe more clumsy), fisherperson! :)

I just noticed these after getting a white tackle box as a reward for the fishing game. It's such a random little update but I really love it! I'm not getting the whole "like a makeup case" comments from OP, either. Looks very much like the tackle boxes I remember from my childhood. Also it's kind of silly to think fishing & fishing supplies're just for one gender.

I also wouldn't say no to more fishing-themed items though. Please bring on dented & rusted versions, & maybe some new fishing poles or something would also be really swell. B)

But I think they look great, I grew up with family members who love fishing and they look like pretty much every tackle box I've seen. They are a bit plain, so I wouldn't mind seeing some different styles, or ones that look less new like others have mentioned.

They look good though, glad to see they finally got updated because they definitely needed it!

They look a lil goofy to me but after googling some maybe I'm just used to seeing really old ones, some of these newer ones do look a little more stylish and less like a plain boring box haha. Definitely a good improvement! My parents put all of my and my sisters kiddy art supplies in a big green and grey tackle box, I was so impressed how you open it up and all the shelves unfold out and you've got soooo much space that was just hiding inside this bulky plastic box. Maybe someday we could get some open tackle boxes full of items.
